I do like this figure. But I like the NECA Mothra a little more. The NECA Mothra seems to have better paint and accessories. Buts that’s just my opinion.

The question I have is how durable is hiya I’ve had both types of neck mothras and all there wings have snapped off from slight movements and when I mean snapped I mean I fixable snaps, is hiya just as fragile?

Could use a bit of a price cut $40 / $35 maybe… but even then, $50 is far more worthy than whatever the 2nd hand market is asking for the SHMA and NECA offerings of the character. Which can range from doable to “no thank you, I value my wallet’s innards” with rarely much in between… usually lol
out of all the Hiya Godzilla figures i have ordered this was the first *(and only at this point)* one to arrive, which came like super early back in mid June and after about a month of owning it I absolutely love it, its on my shelf rn and it looks fuckin beautiful, I saw a few reviews and was worried the stand was going to suck but mine is actually really sturdy and holds any pose. one thing that I have to mention is that when i was unboxing mine one of its wings were completely stuck and wouldn't move at all, I was kinda bummed out and i thought i was going to have to get another one but after a bit of wiggling it and hitting it with a hair dryer i got it unstuck, its joint looks a bit ugly now with some missing point *(which i could fix)* but im just glad it didn't break or anything. 2 other slight complaints i have are A a part of me wishes her wings had bendy wires in them like Rodan cuz her wings most of the time aren't straight like that in the movie, but i still love the way it looks tho just would've been nice to have the option. and B i really thought this thing was a bit over priced at $50, may look great as a Godzilla collector but if you look at Hiya's other stuff like their Alien figs, they are like 4 inches tall and cost $20, meanwhile this fig is $50 and its actual body is really small, after having it in hand im way more ok with the price because of how much space it takes up and how good it looks. Though i could see me eating those words when Rodan & Godzilla arrived, I think if this one came with like a Larva form accessory that would've covered it. But overall super happy with it and am waiting with bated breath for Rodan, Godzilla & Ghidorah to arrive.

Yeah that's something I noticed about not only Mothra, but all of the Monsterverse figures from SH Monsterarts, apart from Mechagodzilla. While their silhouettes resemble (if not match) their movie counterparts, the finer details don't really match up. SHMA Godzilla 2014, 2019, and 2021 all look somewhat like their movie appearances, but probably used an unfinished design like SHMA Ghidorah. While Rodan and Mothra nail the actual look of the figures, their paint schemes aren't the best. Mothra's is the biggest offender. Why did they choose a lava color for the body?! Kong is the best and most accurate Monsterverse figure of SH Monsterarts other than Mechagodzilla, but still has some differences.
I still feel comfortable calling her exquisite but not as much as Godzilla & Kong though. Really like the movement but the paint scraping is pretty cringe.
It's pretty exquisites we got a highly detailed and articulted Mothra figure, again. But It's pretty basic to see paint scrapage on the wings.... see what i did there?

This is a nice update for the Kaiju figures from Hiya, I wished these Hiya figures sold in shopping stores and not online.

Oh they're movie accurate in terms of scale. Rodan had a wingspan of 256m and Mothra 244m. The figures are bang on. 👍
I think this is WAY better than the neca one, both of my neca mothra just turned into dust.
