The regeneration trait is actually really interesting with it's synergy with it's faction. If you take a slaneesh daemon prince, you send it to melee, and it attacks once. If it dies, it repops, and the opponent has to deal with a strike first fights on death daemon prince, who will again automatically strike. If it doesn't die, well the carnage keeps going. Naturally, when it repops it is succeptible to shooting, but that's why you take the intoxicating elixir anyways.
I used two units of Mutilators in my Emperors Children army...as 105 points for lots of wounds and 2+ armour was worth it in my book...but now Obliteraters (while 90 points each) can now shoot and charge and destroy in combat with 4 x powerful like attacks each...making Mutilators obsolete...
The second warlord trait is amusing if you secretly always wanted to play custodes but somehow got your faction wrong, as you can create a F5 T5 2+ with armor of comtepmpt 4+ invuln terminator lord with 9 wounds, add the tzeentch trait to ignore the first damage, and add the living carapace to reduce all damage to 1. The lord can also be healed by MoP. You can then procceed to live out your wildest doomslayer dreams as you go around taking the living shit out of whatever players throw at you. But at mvmt 6.
For the strategems, the auto-stimulants only applies to core, so advancing and charging possessed are out of the window. Probably a good thing, as possessed are strong enough on their own anyway, and are still an auto-iclude in CoB lists. The strategem surprisingly works with the Hellbrute, so moving, advancing and charging hellbrutes are a thing. Also works on termis, chosen, and raptors, but raptors are lacklusters against their space marine cousins (1/4 of damage of the possessed), chosen are slow and need transport, and termis are even slower. Still 13 moving advancing and charging Str 5 raptors, who can also receive the +1 A Bile buff, can be scary against shooty lists like Tau, Eldar or imperial, so definitely not a useless strat.
Possessed and termies, while already good, are quite interesting with +1 M and S…10 inch move possessed!!! While I’m an emperor’s children player I think creations is an interesting and more viable, than it used to be, faction

Same Mutilators got the boot. Would love to see them get the Obliterator treatment, feel like they could really shine in a subfaction like this!

Oblits and mutilators for fused together. Have you seen that melee profile?!
Let’s hope they bring them back, I could see them pop back up in a supplement somewhere in this edition or the next.

Would definitely fancy this for an army.
If I were to start collecting CSM, I think I'd want to play this legion. It sounds like a sleeper in the codex right now.

Amusing legion, the fight on death makes paper melee armies like sisters really think twice before committing to the fight.
