Starched Genes and Class Freak are your bread and butter for mutations so unless you can get Starched Genes and only get Marsupial and another mutation for your build until you get Class Freak, don't bother farming mutations

yes Starched Genes 1&2 unlock at level 30-31, which you can already use as long as you are alright with the debuffs. Class Freak is much later but definitely worth unlocking for the -75% debuffs of mutations

Done this today and starched genes was equipped and I had a melt down then tried again for another 2 hours to not get it but I’ll try here next

wait, Starched Genes is a double sided coin, it prevents and locks in mutations...so if you are not getting any mutations when standing in the radioactive water, make sure the perk is taken off
only put it back on when its time to hit the shower
and remember to server hop after each mutation!!

nope, then you will want to get the specific mutation serums which is a lot more work, and the recipes cost quite a bundle unless you find someone selling / trading them for cheap...

curing mutations with RadAway or the decontamination shower removes a mutation AT RANDOM, which totally sucks as you cannot pick and choose what is removed, that's why you'll want to use serums to just apply what you want from a "clean" build

Anything that isn't Unstable Isotope and Plague Walker is fair game for all builds, just make sure you have maxed Class Freak on. I got all the mutations I want serum-less except for Healing Factor so I'll grab a serum for that when I feel like I need it

@@Jay-vr6vv To keep the mutations while using Radaway, you need to keep Starched Genes on. The only times you take off Starched Genes while using mutations are if you want more mutations or remove some mutations. Starched Genes and Class Freak allow more benefits from most mutations than most perk cards can, so they're more than worth it if you have the right mutation setup

@@fercek9452 yes, you need to be level 31 and at level 30 and 31 unlock the Starched Genes cards from the Luck tree, otherwise you will wash your mutations away
