It's cool that you accidentally discovered the Sunken Valley clan's weakness to poison. I don't remember where but the game does hint at it. Look at her posture melting when she's poisoned, and she's also staggered for a long time. It's similar to the red eyes with fire.

Isshin Sword Saint is maybe the single most balanced boss in From Software history. Every attack has an appropriate counter, everything he does hits hard, looks beautiful, and can be exploited. He’s the hardest boss in the base game, though there is one other that… isn’t as fair, that you have access to if you fully complete the game. Truly a masterpiece.

Damn dude, seeing your progression with the Owl fight was awesome. I went from yelling at my phone that you were missing attack opportunities to finding new ways to attack him for my own playthroughs. I will say, there was one attack you could have taken more advantage of. His single shuriken, followed by a fast slash, if you block the shuriken and dodge forward and to the right, you slide right under his blade and behind him.

The purple hat ninja in the dojo fight, right before going to see Owl. As you know, you can backstab him. Which means you can use ninjutsu on him.

O Rin is just a deflect test. She’s the centipede with extra steps. You’re supposed to be aggressive, stay on her, and her posture bar fills pretty quick. I don’t know if you noticed, but on her long combo that ends with a sweep you have to jump, if you nailed each deflect and ended with a stomp on her head, you filled half her posture bar.

That first purple hat ninja, right when you get into Mibu village? He can be stealthed if you just hug the wall and crouch behind him. It looks like he’s gonna see you, but he doesn’t until right after the red dot of death shows up on him. He’s good for quick xp. No need for Gaachin sugar

Just starting this one, looks like you stop in a couple episodes. Maybe just taking a break, maybe you did Shura ending, but I just wanted to say it’s cool watching you get pretty good at this. I think you’re enjoying it more too, but I can’t tell for sure. You said you hated the game in part 2, I hope that changes.

Won’t lie, it’s driving me up a wall that you are brute forcing every fight. I’m sure in one of these later videos you’ll finally start parrying and building up posture in close fighting. It’s supposed to be like a dance, not just waiting for an opening and then hitting. The game is specifically designed to punish that type of play, it’s why every minor boss is killing you over and over.

Just starting to watch! Can’t wait to see the moment that you “get” this combat system. It’s gotta be soon, certain bosses coming up don’t really let you avoid leaning into the system.

Alright last comment I swear. I’m not too sure how serious you are about youtube, but if I had one bit of advice, it would be to cut up your videos into about an hour long each. If you want a stable source of views where people get engaged with your playthroughs, an hour is usually pretty golden. Especially because it took me two days to watch this video 😂 I just wanna see your channel blow up man, your really freaking cool.

I’m really happy you chose this ending. It’ll make your next play throughs much more enjoyable. Completely new area with TONS of stuff going on if you do the other ending. There’s 4 endings total, but you probably already know that. My personal favorite in terms of shock value is the immortal severance, but purification is really cool too. I’d get them all if I were you, after your first play through, and getting all the items, you can pretty much beat the entire game in less than 2 hours if you’ve still got the bosses down. Sorry for all the yap, I just love this game to death and it makes me really happy to see someone enjoying it too :)

I got lucky with player vendors selling mutation serums for 300-600 a pop. I nearly have all the mutations at this point because why not since class freak and strange in numbers gives double the benefit with 0 draw backs. I chose carnivore over herbivore and I love marsupial and bird bones for super jumps with next to no fall damage and none of those crashing down animations in power armour.
