Depends who you ask. Different companies will use different bases which causes a ton of confusion.
They'll almost always stick with their base 10 naming scheme. I would find it interesting if a manufacturer made drives advertised with gibibytes and tebibytes.

I'm actually amazed. I stopped watching your videos about six months back, coming to this one, you're looking so much better!
Plugable puts out some really good niche-market peripheral items such as USB hubs, RS232 -> USB cables, etc. that ALL use proven, standardized electronics so they're all really easy to find stuff like drivers and firmware for. They usually cost a little bit more than similar items on Amazon, but you stand a good chance of actually getting good quality by going with Plugable brand stuff. (example: Remember that Google engineer who was evaluating all those USB-C cables and posting which ones were faulty? Benson something or other i think was his name. The USB sniffer he used to do it was by Plugable)
Hello Barnacules, I know that this may not be a very "on topic" type of comment, I see that you have been facing weight and depression problems and have been trying to fix them and hope you continue to do so, I am inspired by you to look at my problems and start doing something before I end up in a huge knot both mentally and financially. Hey jerry big fan here, stumbled upon you last year looking up some videos on the retroduo last year and started watching more of yours videos and eventually got hooked and watched them all lol. But my point im trying to get to is, you seem really good in this video you seem alot happier then previous videos and I'm glad. Keep it up, keep the head up high man. one cool idea for the future if you do more of the emulation, maybe a set of arcade buttons built into the table to go under your keyboard, so if you want to do some arcade gaming lift keyboard and bam! full arcade button set up underneath! could be a cool mini build series to go through the planning and setting up! loving the new stuff though and it sounds like there's more to come, keep it up man! :D
