What is your experience with absorbing so much of others' energy, that you completely lose track of your own narrative?

Focusing too much on others will eventually lead you to regrets and probably self resentment. You would then think that "what if I had focus on such and such, I would have been this instead of that"

This is why I cut toxic people out, it was messing with my personal emotions. I mirrored how they felt. It wasn't good.

I'm bad about I'll treat you, how you treat me. I match all energy. Which can be really bad at elevating a negative situation... So trying to change. I don't know why everyone wants to be an INFJ, it really is lonely. Growing up I was considered a pretty girl, but never fit in, I felt like an outsider and besides my looks. People said I was weird. I would get irritated if people were bullying other kids and even walked away from a popular group of girls. They were on the track team, telling them, they were terrible people for bullying one of the girls that was poor. I said not everyone has money for new clothes and nice things. You shouldn't just be mean to her, that's not her fault. That led to me then being bullied. I tanned a lot and they started calling me an orange b. Make fun of me and tell me I walked like a T-Rex. Called me mosquito bites and even made up a rumor I was a wh*re. I was a virgin .... But I didn't want to be friends with a group of people, that treated other people like that. I hate people that think it's funny to hurt other people.

@@BloomingMeadowsCo. Chicagoland and Gangland activities are all about dysfunction and deceit. Ghosting, toxicity, gaslighting and manipulation. Narcissistic tendencies run rampant.

This sounds like it's for infjs who still search for external validation. I left that realm years ago. Generate your own validation.

~ I am 62, infj, sigma and have been following Wenzes for about 3 - 4 years. Yet, I still almost tipped over a limerance cliff, shaded my intensity and gave more energy toward a younger guy who pursued me. I had to gently end the 3 month fling, I can’t believe the amount of time & energy “trying” to share insight into me, and ask too intense questions in order to understand why he couldn’t seem to hold any level of conversation. Idk, it’s late, I’m binging on Wenzes tonight. I just appreciate the life affirming insight❣️

The statement that most stood out to me was: "Find people you can help by being yourself."
This is excellent counsel on helping others - but not at our own expense. I wish I had realized this a long time ago - but the important thing is, I have learned it and this video is a super way to remind myself to keep doing it.

I went into hermit mode after 3 years of narcissistic spiritual abuse. Really dove into the Bible and my MBTI/enneagram, and I just want to praise the Lord for His loving kindness and mercy on me in revealing that I am not an accident and I have accepted my higher purpose that most are not willing to accept for themselves. I am INFJ 1w2 which is what Jesus has been analyzed as. It is so comforting to know this for me. And if you ever go study Jesus and all that He said and did, you will be incredibly blessed by it.

I come back to what you have said in a previous video, and that will stay with me forever:
    "Lead by example."
I realized when I saw you talking about it, that I've been doing that unconsciously for some time now.
And that's what changed everything for me. People who were "sidekicking" me all the time, started to gravitate around me. Everything else starting to fall in line.
I feel it really is the key to the healthy INFJ life. Speaking as a man. I can't say about women.

15:28 "High-Stakes Relationship" - Wenzes I hope you coin this - because this term speaks to how we find ourselves pouring our gifts, energies, advice, expertise into the ones who we are most energetically close to - and I have strained - ruined relationships this way because I had not casted my net far and wide (versus narrow and deep). Another term I heard here first "Psychological distance" - I know you have used this in other videos to explain this unique experience for us also. We are on the New Frontier of INFJ growth and I am here for it!

I got into an argument with this dude who pushed me into being mean to him (I dnt like being mean bc I knw my tongue is lethal) and he accused me of thinking I’m a protagonist in anime show. 😂 not my fault you think I’m the main character I’m just living my life being me 😂 and I’m not let you talk to me any type of way. Mind you I’ve known him for 3 weeks.

I’m a year out of an 8 year relationship where our entire dynamic was feeding into each other’s fantasies, and I didn’t realize it at all while in it. I loved it all more than anything, even though I was depressed and anxious and had mounting health problems. Now I’m out and the fantasy has been shattered for a while now, and I still just miss it all so much, even knowing how unhealthy it was. Life feels so muted and dull now, and as hard as I’ve tried I’m struggling to figure out how to create those emotions again for myself, but not through another person

Stay in your energy. While trying to be nice to people, we often take up their energy and give them more space than is needed. People don’t see it like, oh she is being nice to cater to me, maybe I should also be nice to them in return and find out what about them. They think, oh they go along with everything I do, I must be so powerful and awesome, let’s see how I can mould this person to be more useful to me.

    • @EricK-nm2gg
      @EricK-nm2gg Месяц назад +6

Say they do something to annoy you, let it be known, with practice you can say it with tact and doesn’t hurt their feelings, but always put yourself first, your own boundaries, and then when you are being you, you can allow space for others. Generally people think of themselves, and if that is the format they follow, we have to too, or else your voice will be drowned out.

I gain so much from this video alone:
I am complete. They are complete.
I don't fulfill their fantasy (what I can see is missing in their life). They don't fulfill my fantasy.
Because feeding into their fantasy doesn't help equip them to fulfill it in reality… even though I’m coming from a place of wanting to make them feel good about themselves.

I enjoyed this video alot it's crazy how people can't our true selves and if we walk around what people want us to be we're gonna be depressed Wenzes said with us INFJs we see through people on we truly are and majority of the time that's why people don't talk to us that often we see what's up through the facade that they're putting up

I've taken the test multiple times and have gotten INFJ most consistently. After looking into it a lot, a ton of the descriptions matched up with the ways that I think, act, behave emotionally, etc. The one thing that I'm worried about is if I go too far into this "world of the infj," then it might shape my beliefs of who I am as a person in an unnatural way, telling me what I'm supposed to be instead of me finding out for myself. I do also see this as a means for self-improvement. What do we think?

  • @NFPura

It's difficult because the new idol of AI controls so much. We don't even realize it exerting an effect. It prevents me from ever contacting my fiance, my Covenant of the Heart, Brit Levi. And meanwhile I am not setting boundaries and saying, 'This is not okay.' As if there's nothing I can do about it. You're absolutely right Wenzes. Thank you for the inspiring message, as always. Shalom Aleichem.
