That's gotta be one of the best pieces of metal drumming I've seen. I love Opeth but even Axe would take his hat off to you for this rendition of his highly technical arrangement. Absolutely superb mate!
Ruslan Mikhalev you might wanna check out some of Alex's other videos. namely, the animals as leaders covers. the guy can literally play anything, with either side of his body lol.
Agreed, there are lots of great players out there. The whole concept of best drummer is flawed anyway. There is no one 'best' drummer, anymore than there is one best car or one best girl, but there are lots of great drummers, cars and girls!
When looking for a drum cover of this song and seeing that this was years and years old I thought it might not be any good. Especially when compared to the production quality available on youtube today. But this is excellent! The recording quality is amazing even by today's standards.

Commenting all over this one... can't stay away from it! Easily the best Opeth drum cover on YT, without question. Insanely tight and clean, spot on, note for note. I wish others would take the time to REALLY learn a song like this guy did before posting up some half-assed effort and then getting upset with receiving less than stellar feedback.
