Bri i feel you on that learning not to talk so much...its sucks being overly transparent. I had a situation at work where I stepped back and was like "yeah imma keep this to myself cause somebody could get jealous" . I also noticed i let anything fly out my mouth when im being reactionary in my emotions. So im working on being like "Girl did you need to say all that" ?... Like Ms Iyanla said "Not on my watch" 😭❤

It’s crazy to hear someone else say they look through life “rose colored glasses”. I want to see the good in everybody. I trust everybody and unfortunately the world is not like that and you can get hurt. I’m learning as I get older. I still ask myself why are people like this? By all means protect you, but I have tried to change and be that person. But it’s not me, it’s not my character nor personality. I know there are demons walking amongst us. I just stay prayed up and try not to let the negativity around affect me.

Hey Cuzin, I think a great thing to do and this would be my advise to anyone.
Be mindful of negative thoughts. If you start thinking negative immediately change your thoughts to positive and not dwell.
In time you will be a more positive person instead of being so hard on yourself all the time. You can do you want to do with a positive mindset and a plane. Happy Holidays everyone.

I don't think you're dumb for being really kind and friendly 2 others. I understand what you're saying tho. Everyone isnt of the same mindset. They cud take advantage of your generosity. They see happy and generous ppl as weak or vulnerable to being taken advantage of. So to give balance to a person like u, take Jesus' advice to his disciples. He instructed them 2 b wise/shrewd as a serpent but gentle as a dove. It's about discernment. It's about balance. U can still be loving and generous with your friendliness and giving to others but just know someone may not appreciate it. And that comes with the territory of being a person of love. I'm not saying to allow others to take advantage of u that u know won't appreciate your generosity, but in some cases u will be taking a risk and u cud get hurt. TD Jakes said being hurt is something that comes with loving others. U will never be totally immune to being hurt when u choose to love.
