    I just received mine yesterday and played my first round with no practice time with it. I absolutely love this putter! Never have I felt more confident with a putter in my hands. This technology if for real and it is now my most favorite club in the bag. My lag putts were spot on, my putts from off the green (TX wedge) were great and I could not miss from 6 feet on in. My goal as a mid handicap golfer is to statistically be a two putt golfer or better. I know myself and know that I will not spend very much time on the practice putting green, so my thoughts were to spend the money on the best putter available to give myself an advantage so I can spend more of my practice time hitting the range with the driver and irons.

      I know. I'm in love with it too. So much thst I just ordered the red white and blue putter cover and decided to order a fully custom new putter with the blue head and upgraded shaft. What sight line did you go with?

      You've got a fine plan (to be a 2-putt golfer) --- i've been playing several decades, and from what i've experienced, you can work your tail off on those 5-10' putts, and you'll STILL fall victim to mis-reads, imperfections in the green, etc. --- but you can ALSO work your tail off on those LONGER lag putts (30' and up) and you'll gain strokes on the field doing that. I personally believe it's almost a waste of time to devote too much time on short putts, but well worth your time to familiarize yourself with longer, 30', 40' or even 50' or more putting lengths. You'll see your practice pay off with those.

    I have an arm lock version of the DF ....and I play the ball off the front foot...even a little further forward than I see in this video ....seems to be common with this putter...I do love ❤️ it

    Great review! I tried this putter at the PGA Superstore but I decided to wait for the "Evnroll ER11v Mid Lock" to come out in a few weeks. The mid lock is getting great buzz. I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago. Can't wait to get my hands on it. The Lab putter felt good in my hands and I loved the roll but for some odd reason I had a hard time aiming it when i tested it in the PGA STORE. I tested the arm lock version of the Lab since I am currently rolling a Kuchar Bettinardi

      Nice! I wish I could figure out the arm lock method. I think I would love it if I could get the hang of it.

    Are you still using the LAB putter. If you aren't why? Thx

    • @GarageGolf

      No, not anymore. I actually loved the putter and the feel but got fitted for a custom putter and determined that the center shaft was not the best option for my putting stroke. Other than that I loved the putter.

  • @fishblade2

    I have seriously thought about getting fitted and purchasing this putter. I was hoping that club champion had a test model to get properly fitted for it but at the same time would it be better to go through the virtual one on lab putter's website? How spot on was the lie and loft angle from them?

    • @GarageGolf
      @GarageGolf  3 года назад

      So I went putter in hand to get fitted just to make sure this would be a good fit for me and after getting fitted at Club Champion they determined it was not unfortunately do to my swing style. The forward press and center shaft caused my ball to pop straight up in the air and not roll true as a result. Definitely get fitted from Club Champion vs. online with Lab Golf just to make sure before you spend that kind of money on an investment. I loved this putter and the feel but just wasnt a natural fit for me. Club Champion did have three different putter models as well that I could have tried so they do tend to have these available for testing. Just an FYI!!

      @@GarageGolf Thank you for the reply! I definitely will get fitted and I'm trying to go in with an open mind but I do have my heart somewhat set on this putter. Unlike others I believe in the technology and like the putter so it would most likely play into my decision but also my mental performance. I will definitely make sure I get it with the correct lie and face angle because I like the fact that I don't have to forward press with the putter to put well with it. I have currently always done that (not the correct thing to do but never knew) and so that habit and feel is something I actually like. So the Club Champion does have the different face styles and are able to set the face correctly for the LAB putter to allow for better rolls?

    • @GarageGolf
      @GarageGolf  3 года назад

      @@fishblade2 The lie is huge. They did my fitting with LAB at 67 and when I got fitted at Club Champion SAMM LAB determined it would need to be at 62. Make sure to get fitted but I love the putter as well....just wasn't a good fit for my swing unfortunately!!

    • @Golfzilla70
      @Golfzilla70 3 года назад

      @@GarageGolf that's odd that the forward press on the lab was causing you to hit the ball in such a manner as to cause it to pop up. I've got a LAB putter i've had since March of 2020, and it seems to me like the forward press is more a function of the shaft in the grip, and the putter head stayed fairly square. I'd bet the LAB guys would like to help you out on that :)

    I saw that you got a new one. How is the blue head and the upgraded shaft for you? Is it worth the extra 235?

      Hi Jackie. Crazy story, I was actually so excited to order my custom putter that I went to Club Champion to be professionally fitted for it and when I was done with the fitting it just so happened to turn out that it was not the right putter for my stroke. It was causing the ball to bounce straight up in the air due to the forward press and with how my putting stroke was coordinated. Long story short, I ended up not keeping the putter due to this but still have nothing but love for the putter and the company in general.

      @@GarageGolf thanks for the reply! I ended up picking up a stock DF2.1 just to give it a go. Hope it works well for me… shot 78 with 37 putts the other day :)

      So you putted lights out and gave this an almost perfect rating in your review and now all of a sudden it’s not rolling right? Sorry but if the ball is not rolling right it’s either you, loft, lie angles. This putter requires shaft to be in the center of your stance which moves the ball forward in your stance. It’s not the putter bro

    where can I get fitted for this putter? I am in Dallas? Also do you still love this putter? Wondering if it's the real deal

    • @GarageGolf
      @GarageGolf  3 года назад

      Your best bet would be Club Champion in the Dallas area. They should have a few for you to test out using SAMM LAB which is awesome. Way better than the fitting that they do online at LAB Golf. It is a very cool putter but after getting fitted wasn't the best fit for my personal swing type. I was still very impressed with it.

      Dallas Golf is the Dallas fitter who did mine. They also are great for any other fitting (irons, driver and putter). They are my new go to for anything golf related.

      Actually went to get custom fitted for it at Club Champion and determined it was not the best fit for my stroke after all. I still love the putter but ended up going with a Custom Scotty Cameron that I purchased and ultimately had it custom painted for my specific requests. Loving it! Polite suggestion. Remove Price from your rating category system. If you are not going to knock one of the most expensive putters available then why are you even including price as a category?

    • @GarageGolf
      @GarageGolf  Год назад

      Fair enough. Thanks for watching Ryan. No more rating systems by the way, just honest feedback and pros and cons. It's more my natural style.

  • @michael2782

    A 4.25 on price is really way to high for we "ordinary" golfers. When a putter costs more than a driver, well ...

    • @GarageGolf
      @GarageGolf  3 года назад

      That's good constructive criticism. I guess the problem is that the putter is my main vice. I'd rather spend money on a putter than a driver anyday for myself personally. I do however totally get our point!
