    Being an elderly, almost 80 years old, I like to keep my mind active but because it is difficult to see which is the right or wrong side of the fabric on the band, I find it difficult to figure it out. I'll keep trying. Thank you.

    You're such a live saver! Been trying to find a way to measure a hat that can fit my head instead of just following premade pattern. Thanks!

    Wow. The bill part of the hat was a simpler idea than I thought. I'll try making this then! 🙌❤️

    I’m trying to make this hat for a 12ft skeleton. How do you come up with the rectangle size for pattern piece 3? I managed ok with pieces 1 & 2. The head circumference is 45 inches and the front to nape measurement is 27 inches

      @@jackphilly I'm sorry to leave you hanging. I ended up just winging it. I just checked and I still have my pattern so I scanned it in but my photo scanner wasn't big enough so it's folded in half. I'm going to upload it now and I'll respond to this comment with the link.

    Hi pattern 3 on wat basis should i measure if HC is 43cm and on 1st pattern how 7.5 plz tel i wanna make for my baby of 4 months

    • @BrownGirlDIYs
      @BrownGirlDIYs  Год назад +1

      Hey! For the 3rd pattern, just make sure the total measurement of the 1st curve is the same as your eyebrow tip to eyebrow tip measurement when measured along the hairline. The height of the brim will remain the same. For the 1st pattern, i marked 7.5 to make a smooth curve. Just draw a straight line and slightly curve it to the outer side.

  • @souleyesarr9926
    @souleyesarr9926 6 месяцев назад

    Hello, should there be a correction in the length, you show 13.5 centimeters should it not be 16.5?

    • @BrownGirlDIYs
      @BrownGirlDIYs  6 месяцев назад

      Hey! Length = half front to nape - 3cm = 16.5-3=13.5

    • @souleyesarr9926
      @souleyesarr9926 6 месяцев назад

      @@BrownGirlDIYs Well, you should see the result when I did it like that, really really small. 1 cm seams. I now tried 16.5, still too small.

    • @souleyesarr9926
      @souleyesarr9926 6 месяцев назад

      Taking 57 cm /6 = 9.5 when you add the seam allowances of 1cm on each side you are left with a head circumference of 45 cm? I think the measurement should 11.5 centimeter?

  • @dony1065
