If you have conviction in your style. I dress for myself not to please anyone else. I never listen to detractors because what does a stranger's opinion mean to me? Nothing!!! It waters no plants. The length of the first piece is 12 inches - but how wide is it - I don't think I ever saw a measurement for that side. Also the second pattern piece - what are the measurements? Thank you! Its nice to be able to do this and create a simple pattern!
This is what I understood: The arc from ear to ear is 10inch, so then she makes the first part of the pattern 8inch and the second part of the pattern 2inch thick.
I found this video useful yet frustrating. There was too much freehand work. Their numbers did not match what they were stating with the numbers on the screen vs what they were doing. I get their general principal of hat making, but I feel that this video was a mere guide on how to get there and not 100%.
