Will forever be one of my favorite sounding V8 engines. I feel like this car is just lowkey in general also, and not many people know about it, at least in North America. Makes me love the car even more. I think there are definitely many people that love and know the E92 M3 and C63 AMG, and know nothing about the B7 RS4 sedan. But after the E92 M3's V8 sound, this one is my favorite right after it. 😌
rs4 is even more rare here :) I owned a red one for about a year! and sold it, kicked myself in the nuts and bought another one few weeks ago :-) I own few cars now, and rs4 will always stay, no matter what happens! - the most things I missed about this car is the sound, I run Miltek and its plenty loud for me! :) to non car people it just looks like a regular a4 audi. :) nothing flashy! all ready bought few parts and waiting mainly now on coilovers.

I have the JHM cat-back, and JHM catted down-pipes... I'm about to go decat my exhaust and down-pipes (maybe), but something tells me there is more to it than just that. Are there any other mods you had at the time of this video? I have an AFE pro dry S filter, JHM manifold spacer, and a JHM tune. Your car sounds amazing!

Thanks for compiling and posting the video, its more of a unique perspective instead of the usual camera at the exhaust. I think this alone is such good marketing for this car, such a pity there was a short run of production though there are quite a few for sale in the UK, around £13 - £18000 for 70 - 120k miles. Apparantly the S4 B7 V8 has camchain tensioner and plastic guide breakages needing an engine out repair but the RS4 has aluminium tensioners less likely to break (its pretty much a given, a pre-requesite to do this as preventative maintenance) So for the RS4 buying high mileage is not so scary, because budgeting for disks, pads, tires, fuel, tax and insurance is prohibitive enough without paying another £3000 for engine repairs

The B7 rs4 is better than b6 2.0, for the rest difficult to answer, sorry, but the b7 rs4 is not cheap to maintain...

Apparently the engine in the RS4 is much more reliable than the 4.2 in the S4. Ive seen lots of S4s getting towed aswell.
