As much as I would have loved Ray to have stayed in Sabbath,we would never have gotten the god level 1st Badlands lp if he did. Ray was almost in Blue Murder for a minute as well.
Great, so great💕I’m listening « Danger Zone » with Glenn, and here Ray👍🙋🏽♀️two wonderful interpretation💕i’m Like very🙌💋ohhh, MAN 😪so wonderful Boy, magnificent singer, a Jewel Voices🎶😪why?? Get Away so young💕LIFE , great Life... for You always💕🤷🏾♂️💋LOVING🔥
In addition to Ray Gillen's sensational vocals, I highlight the insane drumming on these recordings, at that time if I'm not mistaken they were Eric Singer or Bev Bevan.
The cd (with this live radio show and the Gillen-Eternal Idol tracks) is/was only available as a bootleg for years. It can be found here on youtube, collector circles, and obviously other download sites online. The "Radio show" (San Antonio, TX) had 6-7 live Sabbath cuts with Ray, but was never officially released due to licensing rights or some crap like that. in 2011, there was a deluxe version of Eternal Idol released officially that has the Ray Gillen version of the album (much more cleaned up), but does not contain THIS live show (again, has to do with licensing rights or some legal stuff).
@@krisbritwres394 So where did you get this kinda information ?? I sure know Bob Daisely did a Hughe contribution to this , as wel as on MANY other albums (e.i Ozzy & Rainbow) But Ray not being capeable of writing is simply NOT true. As an excample, an interview with Jake E Lee explanes quite clear that Ray Gillen had the talent to just improvise on the spot... And by doing so came up with Awesome lines and lyrics for Badlands. I think Ray simply didnt have had the time to work things out for the Sabbath album, replacing Glenn Hughes didnt give him much time&space....
Damn, this band sounded so good with Ray Gillen. What could have been....
So much talent and charisma, He could have been the best Sabbath singer after Dio.
RIP Ray Gillen
I personally think Glenn Hughes and Tony Martin surpass Dio. I love Dio but I think they were better for Sabbath.
@@dead0ntime fun fact, Glenn was actually Dio's favorite vocalist.
@@EZ-vm1up Stevie Wonder ranked Glenn very highly too.
Ronnie James Dio was the best! Rip

Tony Martin was good. This guy is epic.
Well said. I have to get 7th Sign .
Glenn Hughes was in the studio on that one?
@@johnmcminn9455 yeah Glenn sang on seventh star and I think he played something like 4 gigs.
Great singer but he doesn’t fit. Glad Tony Martin ended up in the band
He was God
Greatly missed :( Much better than Tony Martin in my opinion
Victor Barros I totally agree, and to spark some contraversie, better than Martin and Dio.
Better than Martin yea, Rays problem was that he couldn't write songs for shit. I don't think he touches Dio though
