@jaywingate187 true but by the cataclysm and deathwings motivations by this point it seems silly he didn't use these guys or at the very least free them. When your end game is chaos and death anyway they only would've helped his agenda lol
@@Heruagarwaen I mean he imprisoned one of them himself. Regardless of whether they *could* be corrupted by the OGs, they definitely were no friends to Neltharion. Plus their motives have been stated pretty clearly, they don't want just chaos and destruction, they want revenge on the flights, destruction of all titan influences and to return Azeroth to it's original primal state, whatever that might entail. They're basically shaman supremacists, maybe freeing the elemental lords from the old gods service would even be a goal, if any even still are.
Well, simple answer: The old gods are the "natural" enemy of order, harbingers of the Void Lords. The Protos were already on the "enemy team" and against the Titans. Neltharion was a defender of Azeroth, a servant of the Titans. If you can manipulate someone within the ranks of your enemy, you can achieve a greater result. If the old gods had helped the protos, azeroth would be free from "Touch of the Titans", corrupted by the void. After that, the Burning Legion would purifiy the planet with fire. So it would make no sense to help the Protos to win the war against the creations of the TItans.
Fair point. Maybe they are not aware of that ? The Old Gods corrupted the elements, if thoses incarnates are intimely bounded to the elements, they might be corrupted too and thus fed lies.
She isn't a titan, she's a world soul (like Argus). All world souls have elemental magic as their primary power. If you dominate the world soul with one of the cosmic forces they will turn to that force. Argus was dominated with Chaos magic (Fel) so when he was born he was on the side of the Legion. Azeroth is the strongest of all world souls (As seen with her elemental lords being incredibly strong like Ragnaros, Therazane, Neptulon, and Al'Akir), which is why she is greatly sought after by the cosmic forces, such as Void (old gods), Order/Arcane (Titans), Death (The Jailer) and Chaos (Burning Legion). If one of the cosmic forces claim Azeroth for themselves, they're gonna win the cosmic war pretty much. In this expansion we have kinda realised we're the bad guys and the Primalists are the good guys, as we and the dragon aspects are almost all forged by the titans (Order magic). The Primalists draw their power from Azeroth (Elemental). Basically we are good people fighting for the wrong side and the Primalists are bad people fighting for the right side? To be fair if you are imprisoned for like 10,000 years you can't expect to show mercy. We've realised that the dragon aspects aren't all that good after all and threaten the true and natural ways of Azeroth. A lot of our races are originally titanforged or evolved by arcane magic, so a lot of the player characters fit into Order, thus we also threaten the true way of Azeroth
Azeroth is Spirit. And that's why she's the strongest world soul. Any element or cosmic power mixed with Spirit becomes the strongest force there is. If the Titans managed to wake it up it would be Order + Spirit If the Old Gods: Void + Spirit And so on Come on people. It's basic wow lore.

Yes and no, they imprisoned the Old Gods and the Elementals Lords so Azeroth could develop herself without interference. They did put a lot of servants in it but they were meant to watch over it, not colonized. Then there has been the curse of Flesh and many of them started to live their lives as their own, forgeting what they were and their purpose. An of course, Azeroth created her own form of lives.

@@gururaven No he's right, canonically, they are certainly weaker than Ragnaros and Al'akir. But this whole, being imprisoned underground thing always ends up with pacts being made with Old Gods, so u basically have 3 angrier Deathwings roaming around, doesn't seem like a minor threat at all.
Honestly the whole prime elemental drake's and stuff is giving me mad vibes of the elder dragons from GW2. More ways WoW can't do anything original anymore.
Every bit of this story I learn, the more I want for the story to proceed with the aspects eventually siding with the incarnates. It just makes sense to me. The titans aren't able to grant them their aspectral power back, and the incarnates are the true embodiment of what natural dragons are. It just makes sense. I suspect there being some kind of Galakrond-esque fight in the future, against a threat that forces the renewed aspects to unite with their enemies to defeat some grander existential threat (say, idk... titans returning and wanting to eradicate the mortal races??)
I hope in the end we find out this is all a plot that was set in motion by Murozond. Murozond was done dirty and he’s objectively stronger than any other dragon including Deathwing. He should be the final boss in some sick time warpy fight that takes place over different dungeons and stuff as we chase him to finally kill him.
Is there any lore about how there are primal elemental protodrakes in the first place or how their tied to galakrond? Or why we can't have thrall of any shamans try to quell the primal elementals. Or how the aspects should be able to regain they're aspectral powers with oathstones? Couldn't they lose them again with galakrond like they did with deathwing? And what special powers do they get with the aspect powers that we didn't see so far? Kalecgos can use powerful magic as it is and alex and nozdormu still control life and time.
The primal incarnates are protodragons who rejected the Titans' offer of evolution through arcane magic and instead embraced the natural elemental powers of Azeroth - similar to how in Cataclysm some mortals underwent ascensions to become elemental beings, but with dragons instead. Galakrond was an object of fear and reverence to all dragonkind - while the dragonflights feared him and wanted to ensure more like him wouldn't rise, the incarnates saw him as something to aspire to, that all dragons should strive to be that powerful. The shamans probably could do something, but storywise the Alliance and Horde have barely arrived on the Dragon Isles as part of an exploratory expedition, there isn't a major military intervention yet. Razsageth's release and her rush to break out the other incarnates was a comparatively short time, we might get more reinforcements in future patches. Maybe we will see the shamans respond. The dragons became aspects through invoking the power of the titans, and the oathstones seem to be symbols of that ritual. It sounds like the oathstones could be used in a certain way to trigger the ritual again and give them back their full powers. They lost their powers against Deathwing due to them bequeathing their powers into the Dragon Soul in order to destroy him, I suppose we'll see if they have to go that far again. Being an Aspect greatly augments all their innate powers and their connection to the world. All members of a dragonflight have the same powers - right now Alex and Noz just are very powerful red and bronze dragons, other dragons could conceivably become as powerful as them. As Aspects they'll be in a league of their own again. For ex. Noz' vision of time is frequently clouded now, as an Aspect it should be fully open to him.
@goldenyak629 that was an excellent response 👏 . Did you pick most of this up in a book or was this in the game. I was trying to pick up the lore in the story mode.
@@malikstevenson95 The Incarnates were discussed by the devs in the Dragonflight reveal videos. It's alluded to with all the Primalists yelling about how the Titans suck and their magic is gross. It's old lore at this point that the Titans came to Azeroth and wrought great change, not everyone is a fan I guess. The timeline is my interpretation, but the opening questline made a point of us going around the capital recruiting scholars and explorers, it was meant to give the impression of something more easy-going than another military campaign. Galakrond's been mentioned in drips and drabs of lore since Wrath. There was a novel that explored the origins of the dragonflights, their titan connection, and the war with Galakrond. I never read it, but I used WoWpedia to get the gist. Titans ordering Azeroth and empowering the Dragon Aspects is very old lore, all the way back to the RTS games, but it's been a while since it was front and center in WoW. A lot of Dragonflight is building on older lore really, it's possible that Blizz are holding back so as not to drown newer players in it. Those 'Dragonflight Legacies' cinematics released before the launch were meant to help people get up to speed on some parts. More may be addressed in-game as the patch cycle rolls out new content. There's a lorebook in the new Uldaman that reveals Galakrond's origins, it's just a hidden text now but it may be extremely significant later. We may see more elements explored like that in-game that are currently a mystery to the characters.
@goldenyak629 I heard that the elements were raging and under the control of the when the titans came. And that there might have been another element for spirit and that azeroth herself absorbed all of it. Also do you think the elemental lords have a hand to play in this? Maybe the old gods since they used to hold dominion over the elements.
@@malikstevenson95 The earliest age of Azeroth was the elemental chaos, where the elements all fought each other. And apparently yes, they were so hostile because Azeroth's world soul had absorbed the element of spirit that usually creates harmony. Then the Old Gods invaded and enslaved the elementals, building the Black Empire that dominated Azeroth until the titans came. The titans banished the elementals, imprisoned the Old Gods, and set up the dragonflights and the titanforged facilities everywhere. Not sure if the Elemental Lords are involved, or how the Primalists feel about them. That would be a good angle to explore in-game. The Primalists are so grumpy, they probably don't think much of the Lords, since they were defeated by the titans. Not sure about the Old Gods either, most of them seem to be dead, although they can be revived in the right circumstances. My favorite is Yogg-Saron and his corpse was left in Ulduar, which was still infested with his darkness the last time players went there, so I have high hopes he might be revived. I'd love to face him again as a major enemy. The Uldaman lore revealed that Galakrond was created by drinking waters in Tyrhold that were polluted by Yogg-Saron's power.
Is it just me, or no matter how much I want to deny SL story, the sheer power imbalance between these "big lizards" and cosmic ending threat we just faced so.... underwhelming? I mean, these newbie villains weren't a match for titanforged, let alone titans. Now they are out after 20k years, and I, as the class hall leader with multiple world ending battle under my belt (which I won) am somehow going to feel threatened by 3 big lizards, word? Yep, I got better things to do. Got to get on grinding my professions and world exploration. At least content wise, this expac is more than enough compared to SL. I loved legion, but if I knew then everything after beating BL would go to the toilet lore wise, I would never want it to happen. Rather, have BL be there and as ultimate evil, then the nonsense the lore team is writing now.
You can keep that up forever. Oh you killed bosses (dead) daughters (dead) cousins (dead) guardians, now its time for their family tree and when youre done the friend of the boss makes a comeback. I cant play this shit anymore, its too addicting and life stealing.

Would you say that if you were face to face with a living breathing T-Rex?
I had a feeling the incarnates would be freed. Sad to see Raszageth go so soon, though. She was such a good villain.
She talked too much.
So can someone explain why one Primal Incarnate was sealed alone away? But then the last 3 were sealed together in the same spot? XD
I think it has to do with the second of the pre-release trailers. That one where Deathwing embraces the Void and seals away Raszagath. That seems to be the difference.
Rasz was sealed before the others by Deathwing after he turned to the whispers of the void.
Clearly budget issues. They wanted to seal every one alone but soon realized they don't have enough gold for such expensive endeavour.

I haven't played for long is this expansion good or is it just like shadowlands and BFA????
Hard to say given it's only been 2 weeks, but so far it's infinitely better content and story-wise
Doesn't Alexstraza know you need to grind AP all expansion before you can max it out silly dragon
why do you people always throw these cutscenes backwards?

Iridrikron is affected by the devouring wonder how theyll explain that
Don't know don't care.
So lets all guess what comes after Iridrikron? Galakrond?
I bet Murozond
They said we would know the final boss by the end cutscene. It’s the earth one, that’s why they made him especially insidious. Huge letdown imo but they’ll probably carry the Murazond plot line into the next expansion like they do so often
1:16 Sooo again, failed to attack her weakened sworn ennemy she want to kill? She's more the Incarnate of dodging than storms.
1:48 Convenient and redundant. "Oh look, we finally killed her! :) Oh no, she has already caused too much damages! :(".
4:53 alone in a hostile land loyal to her ennemies but she still will announce them her return before she is even ready to face them. Again, Cool looking powerful villain but incredibly dumb.
7:47 Why aren't Nozdormu, Ysera daughter and the new leader of the black dragonfight attending? Isn't a meeting about the restoration of their powers kind of important?
So, if the big bad proto drakes are all primordial elemental, why then did the old gods not use them? Why wouldn't deathwing? Seems like a plot hole
That's a question that's been brought up by a few, seemingly the primalists consider both titans and old gods to be unnatural outsiders...of course the old gods did subjugate the elementals in the end
@@Heruagarwaen the island was shrouded from the dragons, remember? None of them could fine it, Deathwing included.
Well, simple answer:
The old gods are the "natural" enemy of order, harbingers of the Void Lords.
So it would make no sense to help the Protos to win the war against the creations of the TItans.
oh wow Elder Dragons :O
How can you cleanse Azeroth of the Titans' stain when she herself is a Titan?
She is a world soul. If she is overjuiced with order she will become a titan. It depends on which cosmic force dominates reality.
If the Titans managed to wake it up it would be Order + Spirit
If the Old Gods: Void + Spirit
And so on
Come on people. It's basic wow lore.
Primalist don't think they Just dumb.

Will shenron be endboss?
1 gone, 3 up. We are still going to vanquish them. Makes me wonder what relation these have with the elemental lords
Right! Did they empower the dragons? Or are the dragons meant to be a foul to the elemental lords ( free from old God corruption). It's hard to tell.
The dragons are decendants of elementals themselves, so their relation if you trace their ancestry would be as minions to the elemental lords.
@@gururaven so they are weaker than ragnaros, their threat is minor?
@@andrewrenshaw2741 not minor - they have evolved since those days and the true dragons have been empowered by the Titans as well.

I think its about time we lost.
That’s how a story works. The villains win, then they lose.
Every bit of this story I learn, the more I want for the story to proceed with the aspects eventually siding with the incarnates. It just makes sense to me. The titans aren't able to grant them their aspectral power back, and the incarnates are the true embodiment of what natural dragons are. It just makes sense. I suspect there being some kind of Galakrond-esque fight in the future, against a threat that forces the renewed aspects to unite with their enemies to defeat some grander existential threat (say, idk... titans returning and wanting to eradicate the mortal races??)
cut scene in order ? u put raz death before her release 😂 , u have a disorder effect dude 😂
in order? lol
This is al backwards :D
Big mommy energy!
The Uldaman lore revealed that Galakrond was created by drinking waters in Tyrhold that were polluted by Yogg-Saron's power.
gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

We need to stop her kin.
Rather, have BL be there and as ultimate evil, then the nonsense the lore team is writing now.
this is a problem...
