Do you have to use the Diamonte water outlet and stuff? We can't just use the 3.0 one
3:12 i used a fan clutch removal tool with those two center holes with a breaker bar on the nut itself to get it off. If it helps anyone.

There is a tool made to fit the crank pully so you can remove the crank pully nut.

Do you need that special tool or can you use needle nose pliers on that pulley?
PLEASE REPLY I’m swapping my 3g eclipse! But I have a 6g75 mivec BUT ITS A 2008 will that not work? Also I have a in-line 4 eclipse not the 3.0 v6 will this swap not work
The only way it will work for you is to go full standalone or use the montero sport ecu and splice it into you harness. Only the 06-07 can use the distributor plate to retain the oem distributor and tune as normal.

What’s the difference between the 06-07 block and the block of the newer years?
I'm wondering the same , did you figure that out yet ?
It’s the way the oil is routed through the block. The 07 block oil is routed in a way that works for swap. That’s the basic explanation of what I found.
