Wow Apurv, thanks. This is golden. Like you, I am poor and starting out with a low-grade laptop in a third world country with terrible internet...lol. I will go with Hitfilm Express now, then when I make enough money to buy a 'grand laptop', I will move to Davinci Resolve. You are a lifesaver!
This is such a good video. The information you provided was so much needed by a person like me. Was funny at some moments.🤣 ...the visual effects were bang on beh! Perfectly executed video, kept me engaged throughout! Can't wait for more such videos. You're doing awesome beh! 🥺❤
Thank you for making this! After messing around with hitfilm every now and then for a few years there are some small issues that annoy me, so it helps to have good comparisons to other apps that are similar!
nicely done on the comparison! i'm super new to both softwares, and decided on devinci, which im now glad i chose. thanks for the info! loved the cut at 0:37 for sure! kept my attention all the way through. nice work man.
Great video. Helped me make the switch from Hitfilm to DaVinci. But now you have the responsibility to teach some of the things you do in that awesome video!!! Will be waiting for your tutorials.
Love this video. I've been using Hitfilm Express since the 14 version, but I was considering to switch to DaVinci. And thanks to this video, I will as soon as possible. Thank you 😉
@@coolaidtrippin9118 not just laggy, there is problem with some file formats ,i record my vids in mp4 and the audio in mp3 when i import the vid in davinci it just refuses to play the audio the vid is just muted cause the audio format is some how not supported by davinci even tho i got the pro version, actually that's why i am here to find another editing software
@@mrcellophane226 I was thinking of buying the studio version because I have been using DVR for almost 5yrs now, and I dont want to learn new video editing software. But looks like I would have the same issue with the studio version. 😓

Yeah right, I was waiting for this video because a lot of youtubers say DaVinci is the best, some say hitfilm #1, so I like how you came up with this idea :)
You deserve many more subscribers. Keep your soft and humble attitude with your strong content expertise. What a beautifully made video. God Bless and best wishes. I have subscribed!
i've been using hitfilm express for years and davinci felt slow to me but that was because i used to use a laptop without a dedicated gpu. now that i have a pc (and now that i learned something from your video), i'll probably switch to davinci now that i have a dedicated gpu. thanks man!
Thanks for the comparison! I've been using Resolve for the past couple of years but have been thinking of trying out Hitfilm since my laptop doesn't have a dedicated GPU and I've been wanting to ween my work off from the PC lately.
If you're not going to do any kind of tasking edits on your computer then Hitfilm would be a great idea. My honest opinion would be to use both for different scenarios.
I love your video.. its honest review.. and I just subscribbed.. keep it up.. you will be the next to be celebrated if you don't give up.. I enjoyed your video..
Outstanding video! Great information and I love the sense of humor. Thanks! :) However, one suggestion, or something I would have appreciated knowing, is the availability of tutorials and support; both official and community-based training support. Which one is better for teaching a noob like me how to use the software.
So i watched the whole video and it was amazing the editing was lit !! and then when i saw subscibers and views i was shocked This channel deserves lakhs of subscibers Btw this video helped a lot You have earned a subsciber :)
thanks, really great video, only thing is, from the things that you said about hitfilm express, i feel like you left out a couple of things, for color grading its actually not that bad, and once you use the color balance and curves effects you can get quite a good result. i do want to look into davinci resolve a bit more after seeing this video though, it looks like an incredible software. again great vid.
Yes, Hitfilm has considerable color grading features but the competition just destroys it including the open source softwares unfortunately. Would be nice if FXHome actually improves on that aspect a bit more
I found him randomly by looking at his video and editing quality I thought he must be a good ytuber with over 100k subs but when I saw his subs it was really heartbreaking SOO MUCH UNDERRATED
DECISIVE Vidéo to choose between Da Vinci and Hitfilm! Thanks, really Apury, that video was decisive for me to choose Davinci Resolve as an video éditing software!!!
Dope video bro 👌🏽 Gotta say I really love Resolve but my I5 8GB laptop can barely handle it. Hitfilm seems like it'll run smoother and save time but a lack of native noise reduction just seems criminal
awesome video man, keep up the good work! you'll be a big channel soon! have you tried doing video editing for the latest go pros? I feel like thats a good way to get views
I enjoyed watching this video sooo much. I really felt it when you talked about how rough it is to learn Davinci resolve, it was so tough at first. The editing on this video is impecible, its clear a large amount of thought went into it! I too made the treachirous swap from hitfilm to resolve, and while it was super difficult at first, it was definitely worth it overall. Such a good video, you've made my week :)))
Thanks for the informative video. Did you edit it in Resolve? I'm using Lumafusion on my ipad but I'm thinking about switching back to Resolve. Was also considering Hitfilm. Wondering if there are any changes in 2022 to consider.
Thanks for your video. Question: I have a decent CPU and GPU, and am new to video editors (I used PowerPoint to do animating text and graphics). Would you go with the free version of Resolve over Shotcut? I'd like to be able to animate text and graphics fairly easily.
I've been using DaVinci Resolve for about a year and I can assure you that DaVinci Resolve's equally good as Premier Pro and After affects that also in free version. You can check in RUclips that a lot of old Premier pro and After effects users have shifted to Davinci Resolve. And I have never seen any Premier pro or After Effects user shifting to any other free video editing software. You can do anything in Davinci Resolve from editing, color grading (arguably the best in any video editing sofare), motion graphics, VFX, 3d and many more. But it has a steep learning curve and if you have time to learn then you won't have to shift to any other software after that. If you don't have much time to learn then I would suggest you to go with other software. Hope you find this useful :)
Great video! Thanks for sharing... I`m still curious what aspect ratio is this one (you are using here). It seems to me wider than 1:89 1 and narrower than 2:35 1 .
@@ApurvDas also could you teach how you did that light rays come out from the text and windows software? Was inf Davinci right? Can't do it in Hitfilm right?

This was excellent!!!!! I've been holding onto my free Hitfilm Express 2021.1 and not upgrading my computer in order to keep it on my hard drive. But my last video had such rendering issues it's time to make changes. This was extremely helpful. I have one question. I have saved a composite shot in Hitfilm express that I use and need to modify for future videos, since it is the opening to each new subset to a series. If I make the change to DaVinci can I import that composite so that I can continue to use it with the new software? I don't think I can duplicate the animation again. Thank you.
This video is really high production quality! And he's got humor too
