Her taking off the jacket is actually on purpose. Its so she doesn't overheat when hacking. Just like a computer would overheat without proper cooling. Its also why in the show Lucy is always in an ice bath when she goes netrunning.
except the suits they would wear would conduct heat far better than water ever could... and any solution that would increase conductivity would actually prevent ice from forming since ice in and of itself is not conductive of heat... its a great insulator... I just think they wanted to show off some anime t*ts.

while lucy, even tho made by arasaka, get caught easily.. on top of that Lucy is just pure Netrunner build with no combat skill..
For entire series of cyberpunk, people who recorded Raid solo corp is just V (with Brute force) and Sasha (with Netrunner path)
@@Rizalpahlevi21 Listen, I like Sasha but Lucy is still a more advanced netrunner for the simple reason she can use a Deep Dive Port and do a full dive, if you saw Sasha uses an external device to jack into the network, which means she's offloading some of the processing from her brain which is why she doesn't overheat. Also Lucy and Kiwi were diving for hours on end, sometimes whole days, whereas this looks like it was a 30 min gig at most...

1. if u play cyberpunk, just because she hijack the system by plug it in, DOESNT mean she cant do deep dive, its ridiculous argument.. V can deep dive yet V still plug in her cable to hack for some system (my V is a girl).. that's why if u say she cant deep dive based on "she jack her cable into network" its ridicuous
even the BEST NETRUNNER Ai, cant deep dive offgrid network inside arasaka..
2. Lets not forget sasha manage to breach corp security system ALONE, while lucy get caught easily, thats why the MC get into this mess..
THE ONLY PERSON i know that ever attack corp alone and succeed, is SASHA and V..
Johnny didnt do it alone, David didnt manage to get inside, he just having war outside and lose, V and Sasha fricking solo corp and succeed..

this statement is actually compliment..
which mean V and Sasha actually manage to solo corp in 30min or less.. and make it look like a just ordinary gig..
V just walk in as if its her home, and clean everyone as if its her another simple task.. (dont fear the reaper mission if u dont understand)
while Sasha also walk in after having drink in bar, as if its another simple job..
honestly both of them is badass doing it..

They even say in the show Lucy could just use a netrunner suit instead and completely forget the icebaths

Her name was Sasha Yakovleva, and she was the netrunner of Maine's crew before Kiwi and Lucy. Maine gifts her gun to David.

How is it possible that nobody talks about this singer's voice? Its so amazing
your point of being in the Corporate autocracy was true. Its funny because (being someone who has been into cyberpunk as a genre for a while), many people say cyberpunk would be a cool (shitty, but cool) future... but the fact is, its not a future. We live in a cyberpunk world RIGHT NOW.... its just boring. Its why I think Mr. Robot is such an amazing piece of cyberpunk art... because its OUR cyberpunk reality.
Also the show Continuum because a Congress made up of Corporate CEOs is a terrifying prospect but in the end just them taking away the middle man.
The notion that Night City doesn't make legends by how one lives but by how one dies is often repeated as a kind of nihilistic mantra. But this vignette can argue otherwise. It isn't how Sasha and David die that catch our attention. It's why they die. They defy the powers that would grind those they care about as grist for the corporate machine. Cyberpunks live fast and loud - it is their choice to do so as an act of defiance. And both Sasha and David strike back at the powerful of Night City by living... and dying... with purpose.
This song touches me deeply every time I hear it and the video is so unforgettable.
The animation of this music video was in charge of Studio MASSKET and not Studio TRIGGER, that's why the animation and aesthetics are different from anime, excellent reaction
Maine actually gives Sasha's gun to David in the anime if you go back and look. Pretty cool

I find it hilarious the artist for this animation just obviously slipped his OC into this shows world.
I used to really like Ilya Kuvshinov as an artist but his artwork has really been pretty lazy for the past few years. There's a few gems here and there but his new norm is girl with bob haircut and rendered in a simple way, even suffering from same face syndrome.
@@ensomira3955 I used to like his work too, but since he doesn't really explore with his art and style he has sadly become an easy target for AI, and I've seen alot of AI art that used his art.

I've watched this MV a hundred times, mostly before the show even came out, and it's ALWAYS brought tears. Sasha has been my fav CP Edgerunners character even not being part of the show... 💔
YAAAA I have been waiting on this! - I was about to comment but Nerdy got there. We are LIVING the birth of cyberpunk. I cried my eyes out again. seen it like 30 times and I'm still ruining my shirt. - Cyberpunk has always been dystopian. Phillip K. Dick was somewhat more hopeful than the others. But general these are the themes since the 70's. Main stream popularity goes step in step with our approach to it's realization. There is a bill that has been lurking in the wings for several years now that would allow Large Corporations to claim city sized sections of land as sovereign. With their own police force, laws, services, etc... We're a couple bad election cycles away from Google/Apple/Microsoft/Amazon creating entire Corporate City States.
Heros get remembered but Legends, Legends live forever. Only one way to be a Legend in Night City

For me this is my emotional damage song from the series, chokes me up every time. And this song and video are a masterpiece. Others have said but this is Studio Massket rather than Trigger so the style is quite different. Interesting to imagine how Massket would have done the main series. Thanks for doing this one, I look for it and only a few reactors have done it after the series. Sasha ftw

Night City, and Cyberpunk as a genre in general, doesn't really have happy endings.
This specifically, I think, is easier to get to feel the pain because it _is_ our current reality. A direct corollary is the Johnson & Johnson talcum powder lawsuit. They knew it was causing cancer and they didn't care.
No happy endings in Night City unless you are with a joytoy or in a virtu. The song is from the show but I believe the animation is done by a small team inspired by the show and maybe commissioned by CDPR. Regardless of the origin it is really good. Between Cyberpunk and Arcane there has been some really good music coming out of shows and games. Some of my favorite songs are from these shows.
So I just watched your reaction to the entire series (and followed it up with this and)... Would you be perhaps interested in more shows by Trigger? Cause I can immediately throw two recommendations your way: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Kill La Kill.
Gurren Lagann is technically not Trigger... but it's the same people who made it while still being at Gainax whereas Kill La Kill is their first release under the name of Trigger and it's batshit crazy. Kinda both are... in a very good way.
And a funny side story: Just as you were pondering whether to finish this show after 2 episodes, I was also pondering whether I wanna sit through your reaction cause it felt like it might devolve into hatewatching but I'm glad you stuck around with the show and that I stuck around with your reactions :D

Kind of the reason why the like/dislike views on RUclips removal was suspicions to me if I'm being generous. Even if you take the explanation of sparing feelings at face value, it helps some big corporation from taking it too hard when they screw up and make something with a huge dislike ratio. That reeked of a "make more advertisement revenue" scheme.
The actual sad thing: We're already living is this world... at least in regards of society ... We're just 100 years behind in tech.

Only good character in the entirety of Edge Runners... only one that doesn't do something for the self-satisfaction or money... she sacrifices herself to get tell the truth to everyone who has ever wondered why their loved ones may have died... truly the only good character in the entire series. Cynics may say "there is no good in Night City" because that is what they were told by the guy who made it in the 80's... but no, this music video was entirely about making a self-sacrifice to bring others piece of mind.
