      @@paradoxstudios6639 False. Please, avoid speaking from a place of confidence on topics you do not understand. You can clearly see the EM field making the ball jump about in the bowl just after the return on some passes.
      Im guessing there is a little bit of ringing, or hysteresis, or false trigger in the system, causing the ball to interact with the magnetic field of the coil around the hole. Id vote hysteresis of the field collapse since it pushes the ball away, the same way it would have when it fired except backwards as it pushes the ball up instead of sucking it down(if the ball were in the hole it would go up instead of down. The normal mode is to be pushed down, of course). So its on the reverse swing of dumping energy and ringing out as inductors do. But I can clearly state my OPINION as OPINION and not as if its a point of factual truth. Its a guess, having not owned one. An assumption. An opinion based on review and experience with electronics and magnetics.
      The ball would impart more force and there for friction, regardless if its rolling or not, as the radius got smaller therefore accelerating it as you propose. This would be a net loss of efficiency in the system as a whole. But, Im not saying it doesnt help. Im sure it helps shape the curve it needs to follow for maximum efficiency through the system given its mass, rolling friction, and added kinetic energy kick from the coil. However, remember, A ball will 'gain' rotational energy as it rolls down diverging rails, and lose energy on converging ones. So if these converge, or narrow, than its exchanging its kinetic energy with the rails to tighten its curve(ie, increase its velocity vectors rate of change. To change velocity in any way requires an energy exchange, therefore the energy it had when it fell is reduced for every interval of exchange. It cannot have more energy than it started with purely under earths gravity alone, it needs a little extra to spend on the rails diverting it to end up with an equal(same height) or greater(or higher) height when it returns. This extra energy to lose imparted into the rails as it falls is given to the ball by the electromagnetic coil. Basically its a tiny repeating rail gun ;)

      @hamid moradi Well, I think when someone says perpetual motion, they mean getting more energy than is put in. In this machine, the ball gets throw up higher than the level where it was let go from. Simple running almost forever isn't really perpetual motion IMO. You could, in theory, make a machine that will go forever if you used magnetic bearings and a near perfect vacuum, but it would likely just run a really long time rather than indefinitely and you certainly wouldn't get more energy out than you put in.
      Getting more energy out than is put in is impossible, but having something rotate or orbit forever is, at least in theory, possible.

    NASA engineer here. NO, it would NOT work with a permanent magnet. A permanent magnet would have the effect of both accelerating it down the ramp then also wanting to pull it back down the ramp as the ball gets past the magnet ready to launch. The reason why there is an electromagnet is because it has a sensor that turns the magnet on ONLY when the ball initially comes down the ramp from the hole in the platform above, then it automatically shuts off at the exact time the ball comes closest to the magnet. That way the ball experiences enhanced acceleration coming down the ramp but does not get pulled backward as it goes past the magnet because the magnet is turned off at that point. The sensor can be the electromagnet itself, because the steel ball interacts with the magnetic field flux and this interaction results in a change of inductance in the coil which can be sensed by the electronic circuit that controls the current in the coil. So you see, it's a lot more complicated than you think. It's not just an electromagnet that stays on all the time, because that wouldn't work either.

    • @joevignolor4u949
      @joevignolor4u949 2 года назад

      I'm not so sure the electromagnet is in the base. It could be in the round piece with the hole in it at the top. The windings could be wrapped around and around the hole. As the ball goes through the hole a sensor applies current to the electromagnet and that propels the ball downward, giving it enough momentum to jump back up to the top. The metal supports could be supplying the electrical power from the base up to the top piece.

    • @markjohnson4962

      No. Never. The mystery and attraction of Perpetual Motion Machines is 'something for nothing'. Everything has a cost. In these devices you have friction and gravity of which you cannot escape. You can reduce friction but not eliminate it. You can manage gravity but not change it. You can see the ball being 'shot' out of the bottom of the wooden plate, not just falling through. That's adding energy which makes the deception. You cannot fool Mother Nature.

    • @renedekker9806
      @renedekker9806 2 года назад +2

      Yes, it would have to be switched on and off with appropriate timing. A (stationary) permanent magnet would just attract the ball and stick it to the base.
      My wild guess: attracting the ball increases the resistance of the electromagnetic coil slightly, decreasing the current flowing. An electronic circuit is monitoring how much current is flowing in the coil, and switches it off at the right moment.
