Get Top 5 video! This is what we were looking for in Southern Colorado campgrounds. It's good to know that I don't have to lug my generator along from Ohio. Also, how was the access roads getting to the Vallecito Campground? Thanks again!
Nice video. Just spent five nights at The Views in Dolores. The owners and staff were very accommodating and great people. We chose The Views because they hosted a NM/AZ Airstream Rally. Mesa Verde NP, Durango, Telluride, Cortez, and the tiny town of Mancos were all within an hour to an hour and half away. We are more urban oriented than hikers and outdoor types so having so many towns and villages to visit was great. Yes, we stopped in Rico, too. Airstream BRN 3482.
By "Ouray" do you mean the Amphitheatre campground above town, or someplace else? We love the Amphitheatre - you can walk the stairs into town and connect with the perimeter trail without getting in your vehicle. The old time road tightness and lack of hookups keeps the class A's out and it is mostly tents and smaller RVs and is very old school NFS, with a lot of undergrowth. Each to their own. Thanks for good Dolores tips.
Nice video. Thanks for posting. You clearly love the Southwest part of CO. We live just outside of Denver, and all those places are 6.5+ hours away. Will definitely check them out….just might take us a while :). We are not retired….yet!
Yes, we do love that southern CO area. But as you know, pretty much ALL of CO is beautiful! I hope you get a chance to go explore some of these places. Next year we're going to explore a little more of eastern and northern CO. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for your informative video. Happy Thanksgiving🦃
