5 Bucket List Campgrounds: • Top 5 Best Campgrounds...
But first - Let us know in the comments the best campground You’ve ever stayed at! - Subscribe and give us thumbs up (this tells RUclips you find our videos helpful!)
Also, get your free trip planning template (link in the video!) This past year we’ve stayed at some pretty cool places and we wanted to share these top picks with you all:
00:00 Intro
01:46 #1 Gouldings in Monument Valley, Utah - gouldings.com/
Why we love it - the views are amazing, and private hiking and walking trails right at the campground.
What to know if you go - internet service and cell service are poor in the whole region. Plan on being “unplugged” for most of the time.
Things to see: The Forest Gump road, Mexican hat, etc.
03:56 #2 Disney’s Fort Wilderness, Orlando, FL disneyworld.disney.go.com/res...
Why we love it - the whole Disney experience is top-notch! Lots of things to do and it feels like you are in the woods.
What to know if you go - book way in advance especially around peak times like Christmas, Halloween, etc.
Things to see: rent a golf cart and drive around the campgrounds (or ride bikes) - Disney parks and transportation (ferries, etc).
06:08 #3 Pacific Dunes RV Oceano, CA
What we love about it - The dunes! These are amazing and you can climb them and head to the beach or sled down the dunes, it’s amazing!
What to know if you go - The Campground itself isn’t anything to write home about, but the dunes! Also, it’s part of the Thousands Trails system, so if you are a TT member that’s a plus.
What to see/where to go: Climb the dunes! Santa Cruz within a 30 min drive, Pismo Beach, the cinnamon rolls from Old West Cinnamon Rolls
09:06 #4 Watchman Campground Zion National Park www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisi...
Why we love it - The views! Close and easy access to the shuttles (when running) and hiking trails. We walked down to a creek and played in the water.
What to know if you go: Only water and electric sites, and there is a dump station, also it was a tight fit with a 40-foot rig and our Jeep on the site.
What to see/where to go: Hiking, scenic drives - The Narrows is a bucket list item and we are glad to have done that with our family!
11:20 #5 Ramblers Rest Campground www.rvonthego.com/florida/ram...
Why we love it: Convenient location to Gulf Coast beaches, near Sarasota FL
What to know if you go: It’s a Thousand Trails park - so if you are a TT member, bonus! You can also stay at Thousand Trails parks WITHOUT being a member! I get discount codes often in my email so make sure to sign up for TT emails.
What to see/where to go: Casperson beach - look for shark teeth, Venice beach, Siesta Beach, Sarasota. Tons to do in this area of Florida!

One of our favorite parks is Rafter-J-Bar in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It’s a reasonable drive to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park (we especially like the wildlife drive, Wind Cave & Jewel Cave National Monuments, Rapid City. You can also day trip to Deadwood and Sturgis. They have pool, hot tub and kids’ play area and the setting is beautiful.
Our two favorite campgrounds are Fort DeSoto (near St Petersburg FL) and Gulf State Park in Alabama. Both are amazing places.
Fort Wilderness was good, but our site didn't have a sewage hookup, and the campground doesn't have a dump station or even a honey wagon. For the price we paid we had to use the public restrooms for fear of filling our tanks.
Took my girls to Disney World in March of 2013 during Spring Break. We stayed in a cabin at Fort Wilderness and absolutely loved it!!! We rented a golf cart too to get around. We drove by many of the RV campsites and was amazed at how much the campers decorated their spaces!! I can't even imagine how awesome it must be at Christmas and Halloween!!
This sounds like a list of the most expensive, not the best!
Most of those places I think lots of would hate because of the crowding and the noise and ridiculous high prices!
We are actually behind you in traffic! We’re on the Florida turnpike stuck in traffic because of an accident. My husband just let you into our lane so we decide to look up your RUclips channel on the back of your Jeep. Looks like you have some amazing adventures!! Maybe you guys can do a video of being stuck in traffic 😂😂😂 While we’re stuck in traffic we’re going to look at your videos and see your adventures
Thanks so much for letting us in! This traffic is crazy! Safe travels
Santa Cruz is definitely not 30 mins north of Pismo, but some even better places are. Paso Robles (Wine country), Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, Big Sur, and the Elephant Seal rookeries nearby are worth visits. It’s an incredible area of California.
I’ve seen all of these and you’re correct. Unforgettable memories.
Gouldings is one of our absolute favorites!
Thank you for this and priority videos..we just stayed at Gouldings in Monument after seeing your video ...and you are right..spectacular!! And the short hike to the arch was a huge bonus! Thank you !!!
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it there! We definitely want to go back at some point.
Thanks for the video and all of your information and the time you put into it. We enjoy watching you guys. In December we started our maiden voyage with Most-time RVing and we are currently at Ramblers Rest (going on 4 weeks- with a 1 week trip to Costa Rica in the middle- yes, you can travel out of US). It really is a great park. The only negative is the traffic on 777. The park you have got to try is River's End in Tybee Island. It's a 2 mile island outside of Savannah and just a skip and a hop walk to the ocean. That is our favorite. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tip! We will have to check that one out!
You MUST check out Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort in Spearfish, South Dakota. It is seriously amazing and fantastically priced!
Thank you so much for the information!! Love your channel. Got them wrote down to visit sometime in our travels 😊😊
😃👍🏻
Lake george rv park is absolutely beautiful and great for kids! I definitely recommend this to add to your list.
Thanks for the information. We enjoyed the Hilton Head Harbor RV resort and Marina at Hilton Heads Island. There are water spots on premises and tons of activities plus great food in the Island

Must see campground is Kodachrome State Park in Utah. Absolutely stunning.
Awesome! We will add that to our list!
Absolutely one of our favorites! So many things to see in the area. The park itself is stunning. We loved the hiking trails up the rock formations overlooking the park.
Just a follow up to a previous video: we tried the Venture4th towels and replaced our towels in our RV!
Awesome!
Thanks for the video. How do I find the Thousand Trails email newsletter to get discounts? Thanks
Go to their website, at the bottom there is a prion to download the free camping directory. That will put you on their email list. Cheers!
@@GratefulGlamper thank you
Do you have a link to the Thousand Trails mailing list? Don't see it on their web site.
At the bottom of their website download their free camping guide and it will put you on their email list
Siesta Key RV Resort in Long Key Florida
We will have to add that one to our short list!
Hope yawl are well,, ? Regarding traveling in Motorhome with generator on to run air conditioning unit seems like a possible safety issue to me your thoughts.
It shouldn’t be a safety issue as long as nothing had been modified to create a hazard. (For example exhaust re-routing on your generator, etc.
Thank you!! you all enjoy the world
Snowbirds are not the most friendliest with kids
Hey what kind of cell service do you have . I've found with Verizon I get service in strange Places.
We have Verizon for cell service and we have t-mobile and starlink for internet- which we can also use for WiFi calling is needed
Can’t find where to get on Thousand Trails email list. Any suggestions.
At the bottom of their website, download the free camping guide. It will put you on their email list
This video AND its Description states a rather huge error: You said that Santa Cruz is a simple 30 minute-drive away from Oceano, CA. It's actually a healthy THREE HOUR DRIVE away. Please correct this very misleading info!
Nice videos, but please take more video and show more of the campground than your faces.
Thanks for the feedback
Another video of people and no rv camp grounds. Why
$410.00 a night at the top of the list, lol, no.
I love all the sites you recommended, with the exception of Disney's. Not to put a damper on things, just the reality, a few years back Disney laid off hundreds of their US employees After importing foreign workers from other countries, paying them much less salary, and forcing the current (at that time) employees to train their replacements, under threat of not receiving any unemployment compensation packages! Imagine losing your job and you are forced to train your own replacement under threat of losing your hard earned $! THAT is what Disney did. So, I will never return to Disney (went to both CA and FL over 20 years ago), will never return. There are enough gorgeous places you have shown, and others to be seen, without supporting this corporate greed. On top of which are now the pedophile employee scandals currently going on.
It’s very sad how much Disney has changed over the years.
ATTENTION: All those that make travel Videos on RUclips while using their RV's.
THIS MAY OR MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. You may loose your WARRANTY rights.
Please watch the Jun. 7, 2022 video posted by "WINGMAN WISDOM",
(NOTE: I don't get anything out of this)
It's about a Law Suite case and the legal applications of RV
Warranties by Manufacturers. Simple....the first letter of "RV" stand
for "RECREATIONAL", not Commercial....... DUH !!!
The Manufacturers Lawyer(s) now have enough "wiggle" room to argue and
win the case and your loose! So, all these people on RUclips that make
an income shooting travel VIDEOS (or whatever) ....BE CAREFUL!
Our Rv Is 18 years old - way out of warranty 😉
Love the bloopers!
👍🏻😂👍🏻
