Big News Morgans is legit one of the greatest side characters in the entire series. He really deserves his own cover story, or at least a filler episode.
Totally, I would even say that he is the GOAT but technically he is an Albatross, so ....
His propaganda machine will change the world, Wapol knowing what Sabo really did and saw, which Wapol also witness, and he being hidden there in Morgans ship while also having Vivi. Morgans news will make a huge impact when the truth get out eventually

Having the same bounty makes sense from the world’s perspective. They not looking at who beat who. I think it’s just that the 3 were all responsible for the same event: taking down 2 yonko at one time. They are all three captains and received bounties based on that.
It could also be a way to make Luffy not stand out too much from the 3 by goverment.
He could easily get even like a 3,5 or 4 billion bounty, but with him being Joyboy and having D. it was too much so they downplayed him and got them all on the same level
Plus ya know Luffy's new position as an Emperor along with the 3Billion bounty.

_Love_ how complex the character interactions are in this show. You can have a character like Morgan, who is _definitely_ not on the side of the Straw Hats, but who is still painted in a positive light because of his belief in a free press.
Morgans doesn't believe in free press. He's more than happy to take the WG's money when it suits him. He seems more like an entertainer with the news being his stage, and it just so happens that whenever Luffy's around the truth is far more exciting than fiction
You don’t have to compare characters though. And the straw hats are not the moral foundation of humanity. That means if there is a character that behaves morally right you don’t have to make a reference to the straw hats

The fact that "Guernica" sent the pictures even though we know very well he died before ever seeing Nika tells me whoever sent those pictures was trying to cover their tracks by pinning it on someone else. Joseph, the surviving CP0 agent in Onigashima, was also the one to send Guernica to the rooftop, which was what eventually caused Luffy's awakening. There is more to this character than meets the eye.

Keep in mind, Luffy's original bounty was $30 million. He's come a long way since then.
30 million was the highest bounty at that time in the east blue so that’s even more impressive
So multiply that by 100, and you’ve got Luffy’s current bounty. As if it won’t jump up following Egghead.

For those that keep debating why the bounty is only 3 billion. Its because they dont want the world to know hot much of threat he actually is. Think about most of the world dont even know rogers real name is gol d roger. The only problem that they had wrong is that morgans printed a pic of gear 5 luffy also he wont change the name on luffys poster.
Thats what I don't get, he's been printed as monkey D luffy for years even before the war of the best at marine ford, his bounty poster used to say monkey d luffy I believe
@@cpgupta561 Could be that Luffy was small-time for the most part, so Marine Fort wouldn't care too much. But now that he is responsible for many big changes, they realize that the stars align for their doom, and they're doing their best to keep things under wrap. Kinda like you don't notice a mouse at first before it throws the table out the window for seemingly no reason.

Luffy’s bounty definitely should be higher than Law and Kid. But the WG says nah we don’t want the world to know he’s more dangerous than he is even after awakening his df so we need to hide it

Nah it makes sense, they all get the same bounty for beating an emperor but luffy gets the title of Yonko. Legit makes sense the government didn't dumb it down. Yonkos were defeated by these three.
I think thats because of relative bounty scaling. Most of the top marines are 3 crowns which = 3 billion, would be weird if WG said that there's a threat out there that's above even admiral level. Even if Luffy were above all of the marines like Kaido was, the WG would not admit to it. Luffy's almost at that point though, he just needs to beat g5 stamina issues

I’m sincerely not trying to be rude but how do some folks get nearly 1,100 episodes into a series and still don’t understand that the WG is all about keeping face. They don’t want attention drawn to Luffy, especially now that the Nika Fruit has awakened, that’s why they gave Law and Kid bounties of 3,000,000 as well

Indeed, they clearly hoped that this fruit would never actually awaken and now that it has (and now that the person using it can fight against the Yonko directly) they don't want this getting out especially to certain parties who would be very interested in this development if they knew its significance.
I love scenes like this but I really wish we got more hometown reactions for the straw hats bounty or from the people they have met along their journey

That were my favorite part after big events, i was already angry that they didn't show the reaction after dressrosa.
I generally don't understand why toei doesn't animate the cover stories, instead of boring fillers (i know one piece don't have many filler, but it would make perfect sense).
But this time shame on oda, he probably either forgot about this or knew that toei wouldn't animate the bounty reactions
Yeah, big time. Oda missed out on a lot when it came to the end of Wano, like it had a lot of flaws. We should’ve seen past friends and even some foes react to Luffy’s alliance beating Kaido and Big Mom.

Recently, I realized why Luffy, Law, and Kid were only given 3 billion berry bounties (9 billion total). It’s because Kaido and Big Mom’s bounties, when combined, total about 8.999 billion berries.
I'm glad they added the line about Guernica taking the photo. I mean we assumed but it's still nice

New bounties after the battle
I find Big News Morgan really interesting, played really well low-key. The stuff we see him doing is ultimately 'good' and 'noble', spreading the truth of current events to a world whose government would rather exercise total censorship and keeping the citizens out of the dark. However, the way he's portrayed - leering, cunning, boisterous, profiteering and getting high simply off of the excitement of printing wild stories - doesn't really cast him in a good guy appearance. He comes off as just an opportunistic law-dodger doing what he wants only for the sake of his own interest, but it just so happens that that interest seems to be generally beneficial to the good of people and undermines a corrupt authority just by virtue of his defiance.
Also that freakin' bird-walk at 0:36 was boss.

Probably a visual way of showing how things are getting worse for them as time goes on. They wouldn't like to admit it, but things are getting out of their control and if they don't find a way to turn things around soon, then it may be that they will have no way of regaining control. They are willing to resort to pretty much anything to keep things the way they want it even resort to atrocities to do so. Being pushed into a corner is not going to make them any less inclined to do whatever they deem necessary to stop this.

I can’t be the only one kinda disappointed at the lack of “reactions” to Luffys new bounty, I mean this is something big, very BIG, I was expecting to see reactions from across the world, villains, friends etc, world government, including garp, dragon etc, it just seems like it was brushed off too quickly for something so major, hopefully there’s more but if not, I guess it was just something oda made a mistake on.
Indeed, I very much enjoy seeing the reactions of characters on principle and not only did Luffy's bounty increase, but he was given the title of an emperor. That is a big deal and I expect it would provoke strong reactions from everyone who read the news and has interacted with the Strawhats at some point. I must confess my disappointment in that area.

I suppose the difference is that even though kid and law 2v1 Big Mom, no one else fought her. Like chopper and Usopp hit her a few times and kid knocked her into the water once, but for the most part she was fresh. Kaido fought plenty of people besides luffy, even if luffy did like 80% of the work
