About IBS Treatment Center
===========================
Dr. Stephen Wangen, co-founder and Medical Director of the IBS Treatment Center, and his staff have successfully helped over 10,000 people resolve irritable bowel syndrome and chronic digestive problems since 2005.
Some patients have had IBS symptoms so severe that they spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital. Others are suffering alone at home and are no less frustrated with the impact that it is having on their lives. The thread that tied them all together was that they had never seen an IBS expert (much different than a gastroenterologist), a doctor whose only mission is to help people solve IBS.
Patients work with us from around the country and the world via our telemedicine services. Get back your life! Work with us via telemedicine. Visit the IBS Specialists at ibstreatmentce...

My doctor said i had ibs years ago . I explained my symptoms and he didnt send for any tests . He said yup thats ibs .. bit un assuring but i found i started drinking " the right fibre 4 " and its helped me alot. I still have my ibs d flare ups. But i also struggle with health anxiety. So i am my own worst enemy . I love your channel and it calms me down watching because i have every symptom you explained at the start of the video . I always assume the worst . Cancer , tumor etc.
Thanks for writing. I'm glad it's helping.
I also suffer with health anxiety specially with colon and stomach cancer it's been 4 years, I got on and off IBS d symptoms
❤❤❤ i have low acid, no motility except for diarrhea, under great pressure all summer, son went abroad, brain fog.I self diagnosed my self with SIBO after a food poisoning with pork mince at a holiday.I want to detox with ginger, asparagus, nettle capsules but still dont dare.Thank you ,doctor for your efforts
You are welcome. Best of luck. We'd be happy to work with you if you need more help.
I also live with it after I didn't eat gluten or milk it almost went back to normal, so I almost think that gluten sensitivity triggered the irritable bowel syndrome. Despite it I sometimes still notice when there is an emotional stress that it's not as bad as it used to be. Unfortunately you feel like the doctors Not really taken seriously here, medication is prescribed without completing the examinations 😢
If it makes you feel any better, it's the same all over the world. Doctors know almost nothing about IBS or food reactions.
I had my gallbladder removed 2019. Few months before the removal I experienced diarrhea on and off and attack pain in the middle upper back. The pain and fever made me go to the ER. They said I had a polyp in my gallbladder. So I removed my gallbladder ever since then I have iBS ! Major cramps ever single morning regardless what I eat 😢
Unfortunately that is very common. Removing the gallbladder is often mistakenly done in cases of IBS, and there have been several studies published on this. Or it's possible that you had both a gallbladder issue and IBS. Either way, you shouldn't have to suffer like this. There is an answer, but you need an IBS specialist, not a gastroenterologist. We'd love to help you, and we work with people all over the U.S. and many other countries via zoom telemedicine.
Here in Brazil, where I come from, I've been having a hard time finding a gastroenterologist who can figure out the cause of my IBS-D and provide an efficient treatment. I've been taking Amitriptyline for over a month, but none of those doctors seem to know what to tell me about the health of my gut. It's very frustrating and very upsetting going back home after hearing a "You have nothing. You should seek a psychiatrist."
I certainly understand your frustration. Solving IBS-D is not their specialty. But it is what we help people do and we'd be happy to work with you. We have patients all over the world and can work with you remotely.
Not sure if this helps, I had been suffering from IBS-D and almost gave up on my hopes of finding a solution until a gastroenterologist diagnosed me with SIBO, I finished the treatment he gave me and I have felt so good since then, getting my life back has also helped to my mental health. Living with IBS-D sucks and screws your day-to-day activities.
@@jeffryaraya6188 Yes. Thanks for sharing your story. SIBO is certainly one of the potential causes of IBS-D. I'm glad that it helped you.
@@jeffryaraya6188whats the treatment?
Was on the toilet 20 times a day liquid with undigested food particles. Looked like soup. Bloating, Gas, Pain. I had no energy and felt like I was being poisoned. I now very rarely eat processed food and if I do in small servings. I cut out sugar, reduced carbs to the lowest I could and still feel good (didn't do well on keto), but the magic for me is 100 billion sfu of probiotics, yes, 100 billion plus megasporbiotic. The regular acidofilous, bifidus probiotic for the diarhea, but the megasporbiotic for the bloating. I have heard people have success with s.boulardi probiotic for traveler's diarrhea. Anyway other than being on $100 a month of probiotics that I can't afford, I feel a lot better.
Hi, you discussed abdominal pain in a variety of locations associated with IBS-D. Is pelvic pain (located around ASIS or more localized to anterior pelvis/vaginal region) an associated pain referral pattern with IBS-D? Thank you for sharing your knowledge - your videos are very helpful!
Interesting. Thanks for asking. Yes, it certainly could be. And you are very welcome! Thanks for your support!
I just had a episode of IBS it all started when I decided to ingest a medium size cup of coffee with 2 creams and 2 sugars and immediately what followed was excruciating cramps and bloating followed by a bout of diarrhea which was extremely foul smelling the stench of the watery stool was so horrendous that my cat started to howl and groan in agony and torment.
We'd love to help you figure out exactly what happened so that you can prevent ever having IBS again.
I have diarrhea only I went i out of the house for any work, I feel an urgency to poop and also just after having a meal outside, is it IBS D?
Sounds like it qualifies as IBS.
I get exactly the same. It really ruins my ability to enjoy a 'normal' life 😢
Recently got diagnosed with IBS
and these are my symptoms 😂
We'd love to help you solve it. That's our specialty, and we work with people all over the U.S. and the world.
bro, (all guys here),i do also have this kind of lifestyle where i cant live my house cause if i stress a bit outside wondering where is closest toilet and this thought makes me more stressed which causes me to need bathroom urgently and i do have to go to toilet 3-5-10 or more times a day. this really ruins my life and i feel desperate. but dont worry, i hope we all will find cure to our specific bio-problems :)
Sir, I am 25, had little pain in lower left abdomen, sometimes it is right side. I searched online regarding changes in bowel habits and these gave me severe health anxiety. I saw a doctor online and gave him my CBC reports. All normal and I am healthy, I have no weight loss. I was afraid of Colorectal cancer or bowel obstruction. The doctor heard my symptoms and gave me probiotics and reflaximin. I tried to push for colonoscopy but he did not recommend it. I am suffering for a week and as you mentioned starts with a normal bowel and then semi-solid. However, can I really trust my doc? Is it just health anxiety? (All started when I had blood in stool and that resolved within 2 days, doctor said anal fissure) everything in CBC is normal and so is my weight, from then I monitor every symptoms and changes in stool shape gives me anxiety. Can I really trust my doc that it is IBS? If you spare a moment to reply, I'd be grateful.
The statistics say that it is very likely IBS. But it's impossible to know for sure unless you have a colonoscopy.
@@Kamlesh_Kaler I had bleeding from the same fissure twice, but I'm doing well now. I'm drinking 3 liters of water daily and eating a normal diet, including rice and roti. My doctor advised me to keep my stools soft and not to worry about the fissure. He also recommended stopping my habit of Googling symptoms and watching RUclips videos about them. He explained that the gut and brain are closely related, so worrying can cause loose stools and diarrhea by speeding up bowel movements.
He offered the option of a colonoscopy for my peace of mind, but I felt satisfied with his advice. He made several key points:
1. My hemoglobin levels are healthy, so persistent, frequent bleeding is unlikely.
2. Diarrhea lasting more than a week without a clear reason should be investigated.
3. Unexplained weight loss of 3-4 kg per month without exercise or dieting could be concerning.
4. Black stools, a significant amount of red or black blood mixed with stools, or stools that are consistently thin like toothpaste should be checked.
5. Persistent bloating and localized abdominal pain lasting a week are warning signs, as large polyps or tumors causing visible blood would likely result in cramp-like pain until the colon is emptied.
6. I had pain and could wipe blood with tissue, but the risk of anal cancer is low in South Asia. Anal cancer is often caused by the HPV virus, and as I am a virgin with no family history of colon cancer, my risks are very low at 25 years old.
Following his advice and drinking 3 liters of water daily resolved my symptoms. He suggested that if I still have doubts, I can do a stool R/E test and a colonoscopy. He emphasized that stopping my google online searches would break the anxiety loop since the more I search, the more anxious I become, leading to more symptoms due to the brain-gut connection. I am totally fine without medicine now. Just stop google search if you have none of these. I hope it helps.
Hi, really grateful for all your videos.
First important question..
I have diarrhea every morning for the last year along with panic attacks and feeling drunk in the eyes, poor memory and tinnitus in my left ear and an itchy right ear. If I have IBS-D, can the candida cleanse cure me?? I started a cleanse 5 days ago and have major fatigue going on.
Not knowing anything about the cause of your symptoms, I have no idea about whether or not that will help. We do a lot of highly specialized testing before we start on treatments for our patients.
Thank you. Is having fluctuating levels of energy a symptom of IBS-D? eg, days of fatigue/weakness/shakiness then normal levels of energy then days of restlessness, pacing & insomnia?
Great question. Yes, energy is often affected by IBS, and in strange ways. That is very observant of you.
I’ve been told I have IBS. Sometimes diarrhea and sometimes constipation. Some reflux and always moderate abdominal pain. But along with this, every time I have an attack (4-9 times per month) I have severe vomiting. Is vomiting a symptom of IBS?
Sometimes IBS patients do have severe vomiting. And reflux is actually pretty common in IBS. We'd love to help you sort this out get your life back.
Can you please help me on this?. I am 30 Years Old. IBS D is bothering me a lot affecting my career. Can I use Lopermide for long-term relief ?
That's not ideal, but we could help you if we can work with you.
@@IBSTreatmentCenter In which way you treat? Medicines or Diet? This is functional disorder so I am asking
@@armaanvlogs7408 We figure out the cause first. Then we find the right treatment. Call it a functional disorder if you want, but there is always a reason things a not functioning properly.
Can u recommend any probiotics for dirrhea?
Of course. I am very confident in the ones we use in our clinic, which we have made for us. They are available on our website, www.IBSTreatmentCenter.com. It's Full Spectrum Probiotic.
I had my gallbladder removed in 2013 and now I have ibs. Everything I eat triggers ibs. Heard bile salts would help….is that true?
Probably not, but might. This begs the question, why did you need to have your gallbladder removed?
Post my GB removal, my health has gone bad, pressure ring under the ribs both front and back, back pain, and weak digestion. I find indigestion a big problem post GB removal.
Has anyone with an attack, had very frequent large amounts of diarrhea and flatulence each time?
That sounds like a typical attack.
@@IBSTreatmentCenter Really? When I get this type I have no pain. Just urgency. I feel gurgling
and then the diarrhea has already come down lol....If I dont take Imodium it will go on every 5 mins. And copious amounts. Feels like 1 litre an hour. Seriously. I have it this week, took imodium, and is lessening. The last time it was this bad was last July. Then I make myself ill googling and reading it is secretory diarrhea which can be caused by malignancy. Then I want to 💩 more 😅🤣. Also because, apart from you, they say you need cramps for it to be IBS. I only have gas pain. Yes I am a hyperchondriac. Thank you so much for replying. I didnt expect it. Bless you.

How do you know if you have IBS -Dand not something else?
Great question. This will answer it: ruclips.net/video/S4gyHAFjc6s/видео.html
Do you work with patients from India?
That is one of the few places that makes it impossible for us to work, unfortunately. It's mostly about India's customs not allowing us to ship anything to you. You'd have to be able to access things in another country.
@@IBSTreatmentCenter oh ok. Thanks for responding. Dr. Can you tell me what path to choose atleast for IBS - D. It has led to 5 kg reduction in weight.
Is yellow stools common with ibs-d? Even my non-diarrhea stools have become yellow. I am worried 😢
my turn tan, probably along same lines your talking, ive read its cus your stool isnt getting enough bile from your kidney.. try lil research into that hope it helps
That's not unusual with IBS.
Would a colonoscopy show IBS?
I did a video on that: ruclips.net/video/S4gyHAFjc6s/видео.html
Is sloppy or twisted/not well formed classed as diarrhea?
Sloppy sounds like it could be a form of diarrhea. Twisted sounds like there would have to be some form in order for it to twist.
