Candida eats sugar and Nystatin contains sucrose as an ingredient in suspension form, corn starch and compressible sugar in tablet form. The powder form seems to be very low quantity and expensive by comparison to the other two and I can't find the ingredients. I'm curious which form you typically prescribe?
Nystatin for a year in 2020 never helped me. Burning & itching was worse. Ive been in UT IMC hospital with C Albicans. Fluconazole 200 mg every day for 2 years. Takes the burning & pain from a 9 down to 4. Three yrs ago Albendazole for one month was $10,458.00 USDA - It helped but insurance would not help me again. It came back!!The only thing Ive learned was- treat food like its medicine for the body. Lots of water- Sugar feeds this beast !! NO SUGAR ! NO SUGAR substitutes (read the labels) NO alcohol- NO FIZZY DRINKS- NO Dairy- NO Honey- No fruits (for me) No potatoes, NO YEAST (breads) No Carbs- NO FUN ! I use Lidocaine for the burning, laxitives for the constipation. high fiber diet w/salads daily. SARRAPEPTISE daily for BioFilms- May work
Please help me I have gone through 4 pills of diflucan 150 mg and I feel horrible I cannot take stations no they make me dizzy bad and a ring in my ears I stay constipated I take protonix due to herd and acid reflux I feel horrible thrush is not going away and I have a UTI and Everytime I take a antibiotic I get thrush and I have neuromuscular disorder which has been under control for the last 21 years

The mouth is trickier. I typically use Nystatin, but you could try a few drops of something like oregano oil. But it will taste really strong.

Nystatin liquid suspension has sugar in it, which is terrible for treating Candida. I don't recommend that. Tablets are much better.
