This seems like a live-action cartoon which sounds fun but I can't get past her being Ann Perkins due to my complex conspiracy theory that every actor from Parks and Recreation is the exact same as their character.
I'd like to hear this complex theory... or is the answer in your statement... and it's not a complex theory and just a simple belief!
Octavian Caesar Hourigan Once you think about it, they act the exact same as their characters in real life. In fact, the character April was based on Aubrey's real personality because she's naturally snarky and dark with a soft side. Besides her, Amy is hardworking and funny like Leslie. Nick Offerman is a woodworker and very blunt/emotionless like Ron. Chris Pratt is very goofy and smarter than he lets on like Andy. Aziz Ansari is fun-loving and charming like Tom. Adam Scott is nerdy and kind like Ben. Rashida is sweet and honest like Ann. Basically, I see no differences between the actors and their characters, lol.
Goddess Ally Brooke so your complex theory amounts to *the actors are similar to the characters*..next time leave the complex part out when mentioning your theory!
P.S. Chris Pratt does an amazing TOWIE impression, you wont understand that if you are American.
Fight Sleep. I have this thing too, I love Parks and Rec soo much, its hard to see them as different characters. But Angie Tribeca is amazing and Rashida does a hell of a job in it. Also, I always found it really hard to think of Adam Scott as anyone other than Ben but I recently saw him in Big Little Lies. And damn it it really took me by surprise how good he is with playing nice,loyal but kinda creepy Ed. The beard helps.
Fight Sleep. After i did lsd and watch crap ton of tv i started thinking every tv show with the same actors is the same person, like andy does this during weekdays and on weekends he is starlord who protects the galaxy but also has an interesting past with dinosaurs. What a fun to think on lsd :D
This series is unbelievably hilarious and ridiculous, I especially Love the Dog.
This is going to be my new favorite police procedural show since Backstrom with Rainn Wilson got cancelled. I hated the fact that Backstrom was eventually cancelled; I loved that show.
This show is very-very funny. Worth the view.
I've always wanted Police Squad to have more than six episodes. I got my wish, this show is SO much like it. I also admire how it doesn't use dirty/shock humor to get attention and cheap laughs. It does its own thing and does it very well. I wish it the best of luck in the future.

not sure how many shows they consider a season, it could be still season one because of tbs, my central casting voucher did not tell what season or episode filmed paramount studios 1/19/16 6am call time and show just had a marathon of episode's which have not been shown yet, i had never watched the show , until i was on it , so you have more information than i do Matt

Wow, well ignoring all the over dramatisism on how "bad" this is I can personally say love it, it feels like the first few scary movies/ other older wayans projects in each episode it's great.

Hopefully but they all but wrote him off the show and introduced Wanda Sikes as a full time character, but I'm hoping that he at least has a bigger role in this show then he had in Black-ish otherwise it just makes no sense at all.

well, all the zucker stuff is parody. police squad! wasn't specifically about two partners who were forced to work together. these two are very similar down to the chase scene in the trailers.

its a little rusty but its not bad....done in the spirit of police squad and airplane , the silly jokes and physical humor is corn ball at best ....but still puts a smile on your face. Personally I have a weird cense of humor to begin with so goofy stuff like this amuses me to no end....Steve and Nancy gets a B + and Rashida gets an A. on my laugh my ass off metter

Thank god they're not. Idk why you would draw comparisons. Steve Carrell was in the US remake of the office. He nor his wife wrote it. You probably think it makes you look cultured because you like the 'original', probably not knowing while the office was in development, Gervais already had plans to sell a us adaptation, and that it wasnt stolen or a hack job

Well the humour is weak but I still like it . It seems like a bit of a cult . Had 2 seasons and been renewed for a third so hopefully it gets better.
The humour is not weak at all, infact, very intelligent. It's a satirical take on police procedurals, satires are meant to be subtle and the nuances of this one make it SO hilarious.
Can't believe they brought this crap back for season two. It's not funny. Not even clever by parody standards. 😑

Yeah, it sucks ass. I went in with hope even after reading mostly negative reaction from reddit. It disappointed even after that.
Humor is subjective, this kind is what I like to call whimsically retarded, I think Carol Burnett called the cast with a comment really similar, something like "It is so stupid, but that's what makes it good."

In above mentioned episode "Commissioner Big Fish" there was a comment made by main actress Rashida Jones in Police Captain's office and I quote: "There was enough sperm for the hair of the whole Italian Army" . What was that supposed to mean? That the whole Italian Army is...what? That was demeaning and offensive for Italy as a country and every Italian who loves his country the same way Americans love their. I kind of understand kind of humor in Angie Tribeca that is actually tiring the more you watch it, but there is no need to insult other people and countries. Imagine if US Army was used in this joke? It would be all over the news with thousands of hate emails and endless debates on TV. Get your act together and check the episodes before they go on air.

Ps: theres lots of american shows that mock americans. The office is about the typical american workplace, incompetent, selfish and rude. Parks and Recreations focus's on governments short comings and ineffectiveness. UnREAL mocks formulaic reality television. F is for family mocks american middle class families. Its comedy, not a scathing editorial in the sunday times. Learn to take life less seriously

Created by Steve Carrel and his wife got me very excited, but man this show is incredibly mediocre and not very funny at all. You can definitely tell this is one of their first projects/scrips
Blecch. Literally the only time I laughed was the bit with Alfred Molina. The rest of it was just too... What's the word for when everyone making the show is just so fucking proud of how wacky and clever they are that none of them bother to put effort into timing or tone or anything else that makes jokes actually land?
