When Kiara said she wanted a punk/emo song on the album, I honestly didn't expect it would be so perfect. Like, wow. This went beyond my wildest expectations. Once again she proves why she should not be underestimated.
Kiara's outfit reminds me of Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria!

@pumpkincoffee Kiara originally mentioned wanting to do a song like Paramore, one of her favorite punk bands, so that's why I mentioned it. The result ended up more like emo-rock, tho.

I really like how "clean" this MV is. I think it conveys a lot of emotion in a really refined way.
It's also really easy to read the lyrics, something that's useful with an MV like this.

Retrospective really showcases how good Kiara's vocals are. This song made me fall in love with Kiara's voice all over again

This right here. I'd heard her previous lighthearted songs, but the CLARITY and downright gorgeousness of her voice on this album absolutely blew me away and stunned me.
Kiara was the first vtuber I discovered who shared a love for early Y2K punk rock, and seeing her have her own song in this style made me immensely proud!

I really love how kiara is tackling styles outside of the typical anime/jpop genres. They may not be as popular in the Hololive community but i think they have a chance of appealing to fans outside of the vtuber sphere.

Oh yes, I loved the art. It felt like something I'd see from a really good manhwa (mostly cause most Korean manga are fully colored, as far as I've seen). Not one for fashion much either, but the outfit was one to garner my attention. Looked amazing.

By the way, with this all songs except Sleep Talking have MVs. Whichs is really impressive that Kiwawa has a full album but all but one song in it have their own music video. My deepest appreciation goes to Kiara for giving all her songs MVs not something everyone does (nor is it feasible for everyone tbh, but still I really do appreciate it. MVs make songs all the more enjoyable).
It is lovely that I got a heart from Kiwawa but that made me look at the comment again and see my typos so now I want to edit the comment but can't lol.

Retrospective does that to me. Because I've been someone incredibly different back then, compared to who I am now. And just like what the lyrics mention, I can't change the past. Somehow I feel that this style of music has an easier time evoking feelings for me than "slower" songs.
Songs that I liked before had a way more upbeat feel to them that gave me energy but this one feels so right to just drive back home after work, like its nostalgic in a way

Very underrated song. If this song came out in the early 2010s if would be on top of music charts.
I know Kiwawa said it wasn't easy for her to hit those low notes but this is proof that she can and she sounds incredible. POV is the perfect demonstration of her vocal range and her stepping into new territory she hasn't tried before. She prefers KPop and more up beat songs like Pineapple and Love Rush, which she does excel at, but it's really special seeing her in other genres. Even if she never makes a song like Retrospective, The Great Wanderer or Sleep Talking again, I'm glad we'll always have these songs to her name
