How well do the F-wave shingles hold up and last? I have been looking all over the internet and there are some who are pointing out failures of these shingles. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to waste money and have to redo my roof after a short period of time. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Hi there! Thanks! Our experience has varied with this product. They’ve stood behind it to date and replaced when failures arise. Dealing with a warranty claim now so I’ll be happy to update. Find a contractor who will offer you options. You should be able to make an educated decision that’s specific to your home and desired outcome. Hope this helps!
Products exposed to the suns rays will fade. The question is how much and how fast? Darker colors will be more evident than lighter colors but if its gradual fading its hard to notice in most cases.
Volatility in the market changes prices regularly. You can expect to spend around twice as much as a traditional composition product using synthetic and even more depending on the manufacturer.
cheaper though than standing seam.the only risk is its only been around 8 years. NO granules clogging up gutters, fireproof, hail resistant, very wind resistant, etc
You can replace your roof many times over , talking about insurance decductable, there are not that many roofs being done with this product because it is way more than tradicional shingles. I am building a house 16 miles from the factory in Burleson, Tx, and checked that product out. I do loved the ideia and the product looks very good, but this is just like solar energy, the price needs to be more comperitive to be an alternative to regullar shingle. People are going to migrate to the alternative unless it makes sense economically, that is just reality!!! @@BlueNailRoofing

Can you post a link to the f wave website? And what is the price per square?

Sorry but there’s multiple reports of fading after only 2-3 years. That alone makes me hesitant to install it on my house.

You know it’s expensive when you can’t find the cost anywhere on there site.

I don't really know the product but his dude sounds like a typical over enthusiastic salesman.
If we can make roofing exciting, we are happy!

Since it is made with resin's it stands to reason the quality is dependent on the core materials. Our experience has been good to date
This product is not affordable, 3 times as much as regular roof shingles!!!
Yes, it is more expensive because it is a premium product that will prevent you from having to replace a standard shingle roof multiple times.
