That was great! The guitar and sax solos were excellent, and then came the flute, what a treat! Loved the 5 string bass. This was a real crowd pleaser performance for sure!
I would like to know if those two dancing cutie pies are still with us today .seeing them having fun like that does bring back fond memories of good times
Played this tape over and over and over again. To see them playing their instruments listening to this bit of music history is WOW!! Love loggins and Messina. Feel good music. We all need something like this to help us hang in there these days. Thank you!
😎 1st time ever hearing them concert in Hawaii 1973. Ten rows back. Kenny Loggins with Jimmy Messina 'SITTIN' IN'. Blown away !! Been listening ever since. Top duo for sure !
Jim made right choice teaming up with Kenny, they actually did some great 2 part harmony, their voices were similar but uniquely different and just went together. 👏👏👏
It's interesting that the solos in this live version are pretty different from those in the live album they had recorded just a couple years before, especially for a band that was usually very faithful to their recorded versions. I love it though!
I like this song, but I LOVE this video!! I've watched it numerous times. I LOVE the three solos! The grainy black and white really captures the ambiance of imagining you're really there. Was this filmed by someone in the audience ad hoc or was it a planned filming? It appears to be an amateur filming, but two things argue against that: a) There were no cell phones then, and I can't imagine that they would allow a regular audience member to film it with a conspicuous movie camera. And b) During Jim Messina's solo, they show a closeup of his fingers on the guitar superimposed over a wider shot of him - I don't know how an amateur could do that. However it was filmed the result is magic, and many years later we have this video to savor and enjoy. Bravo! I also love the few seconds at the beginning of the bass guitar player with the long hair (who we never really see again). He looks like he's having a blast being young and on stage as a rock star. He seems to be saying, ala Richard Pryor in the movie "Stir Crazy", "That's right, I'm bad, I'm bad"! P.S. I'd love to know what happened to the two good-lookin' girls that were shown groovin' to the music.
It helped that they had really good recording equipment, a lot of old live performances were done with old analog equipment and didn’t remaster well, this is a keeper.
In Kenny’s recent autobiography he mentions that L&Ms drummer Merle Brigante used to rush songs live. Not a bad thing imoho. I saw this tour when they played the Cow Palace in the Bay Area and everything felt right
This had to be 76. Vince Denham on the sax solo. Jon Clarke on that fabulous flute solo. Kenny not on guitar cuz he was recovering from shoving an exacto knife into his arm.

Love Jim's guitar solo!
That music was so damned good. I still listen now 2024
Jim Messina's voice is sooo good. Love how he brings that touch of country twang to this killer R&B rock&roll jam.
I'm kii😢❤❤
Loggins & Messina always had the finest musicians. To be chosen by L&M was a high honor indeed. You had to be the best!!
This song takes me back ❤❤
Truly the best version of this song.
It is great but this has better sound.

Bellissima versione di Angry Eyes. Wonderful music when I was teenager, still wonderful.. Messina is the best.
I was there!!
I thought that was you
Best band ever to grace the planet. Kenny has the voice of an angel, and Jimmys guitar is the best still is❤
I would like to know if those two dancing cutie pies are still with us today .seeing them having fun like that does bring back fond memories of good times
Yes
Jim Messina so underrated!!!
Agree 💯. And has a long resume.
Yes they r. And Jim is still on the road.
Saw them when they returned a few years (?) ago. They were great!
There’s that word again…
Very... truly gifted !
I first saw Loggins and Messina at the Scope in Norfolk Virginia when I was station there in 75 great concert 😊
Haa! Nice! I saw George Thorogood at the Scope in ‘79!
Love no shirt, no tattoos, no earrings, look like masculine men..and of course the incredible music..
Oh yes Margaret. Makes love to the audience. ❤
It's always those Margarets the maintain such self-centered personas
All the added make up is always good we don't call our mascara and our perfumes tattoos and scars but they're sore so I wouldn't judge it
Alas Margret, you’ve triggered the modern self styled hipsters🥱

Can't believe this only has 13k views
Saw them two times, once in Oakland and then up at the Mountain Air Festival in CA..
Hey I was there too. Lol. Saw them 9x. Favorite was at the Berkley Greek Theatre
Each band member is so great!! Way jim goes around all, my god flutes, etc when album came out, with full side, it was thw best, just got ne a pillow
Sparkling black & white video.
Hell of a good tune
Larry Sims had been with them from the beginning, I think, a great musician.

I wonder if Kenny left L&M out of jealousy of Messina. Messina was a hunk the ladies loved him, frankly I think they were better together than apart.
Iove hoe jim goes to every knstrument and jams!! Theyve got really great band members. Dear lird its so great,!!!
Thank yall!!!
All us women "need a man" like Messina.😊
The biggest change, and in a bad way, is 21st century pop music has eliminated the instrumental sections of songs 😢

❤❤❤❤❤
Faster tempo than other versions.
I call that concert mode…. Saw them the same year in laid back San Diego. Excellent concert. 🤙

😎🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸👍
If you wouldn't there in that period of time...... There's a good chance you won't understand this s**t,,,,, now that's just my opinion......⚔️

Loggins hasn't changed, Messina has a bunch
Boy these two did a lot with Sitting In idea...I think they needed to continue in a Hall Oates thing...should of never broke it off...
Who is sax player?
I believe that you are asking about Jon Clarke
R i p 2005
Was that this show! Logg 1:48 ins had his hand bandaged up no guitar for him
One of their last shows.. it was a good show not a great show
A year later I saw them open for Fleetwood Mac at Madison Sq Garden. Still tight and passionate at that time.
