So many of these stories read like people having a legitimately creepy but ultimately uneventful encounter with a weirdo and then letting it traumatize them forever.
@@bloodwolfgurl Sure, but then that's about perspective. Were you scared? Yes. But did that person hurt you or even attempt to harm you? No. Probably not worthy of a Let's Read story or allowing yourself to be traumatized long-term.
@FiresCollide I still think without experiencing it yourself, you can't say how much more terrifying at the time it would be for you. These events may have been way more intense in person. Let's read isn't supposed to terrify the listener, it's supposed to intrigue them. At least that's what I get from it.

In regards of ep 6.. how did his family sleep thru all of that?! 😂 When I've been on a road trip, if I'm asleep and the car stops it always wakes me up.. not to mention if my husband were yelling at someone outside the car. I just find it so surprising that the wife and kids never woke up to any of this!
@TheUKisThere most of these stories aren't actually true. Also idk if your sister is a mom, but that especially makes you no longer a heavy sleeper. And there's a difference between heavy sleeper and unresponsive, the tire blowing would be loud and rough, losing the lugnuts would shake the car, jacking it up would shake the car and it would be VERY unsafe to just leave people in there that could move and knock the car off the jack at any time, taking all the luggage and the spare out would be noisy, and there was yelling and likely thumping from the tussle. Unless they were drugged at least one of those family members would have woken up, and this dad would have to be an idiot to not get everyone out of the car while changing the tire and for leaving a weapon in the grasp of a threatening person. Much more likely it's made up for clout by someone who wants to sound like a hero.
That dude with the president mask in story 3 sounds like he was attempting to troll the living heck outta the OP and his girlfriend given his antics outside their tent. 🤣

It was the 12th of December 1985 at 11.47am. I was 12 and 3/4. I was taking a dump when I saw a dark blur outside the bathroom window. It looked like the shape of a thin man with a dirty straggly beard. I was terrified and my eyes began to fill up with tears. When I looked again, the blur was nowhere to be seen. I was left traumatised and never pooped again. Yes, I'm kidding.
That Wayne dude is the type to be on the news someday bc the cops didn't listen, care, or do anything about the original complaints! I just hope and pray someone cares enough to get him some help. Sounds like he is just socially awkward and trying his best, but scaring people!
My question is how did the original poster's that had to pay for money to be at these campsites did not end up swinging for the refunds that's way more scarier than some dude chasing you in the woods
The story with the dad who scared the girls made me laugh as my dad did that to me and my friends! Later he was yelling at us for not falling asleep. My mom said what did you expect? Luckily we didn’t have the scary guy later that night.
I love these bed-time stories… but I really hope they don’t cause people to avoid the wonderful experiences of being out in nature! Camping is great/ when you get old it’s something you’ll be glad you did! Just be sure to camp with people you trust (no loose cannons) Have fun.👍
I get the first story where he took off and left his equipment. I do not understand why he did it go back and get it. Even if I was not going to be charged, I would have no problem returning to get it during the day. Its amazing the psychos didn't take it. I'm sure the park ranger would accompany you. Regardless if you could drive right to it during daylight what's the risk. I'm not sure why I'm questioning a likely imagined story from reddit but I worked to hard over years to get my equipment. If it was there, I would certainly go back and get it.
I’m now 70 and i got a few camping stories that are very real and very scary… I’ve Never seen any of the creatures on RUclips. But I’ve run into BF and other very strange things camping all over the world. In Peru camping the Andes I saw some APU’s, summit mountain spirits. While driving west across US highway 50, I got swooped by a large bird like creature. The thing was larger than my Honda element. I pulled over my element and looked back while I watched it fly away. Just thought l’d share them…😳

A gun is like a furst aid kit. Hopefully, you never need to use it. But it's always a good idea to have it

It's probably way more eventful and traumatizing in person. Hearing about it will never be the same as experiencing it first-hand.
