    Story 3: hospitals will NOT tell police or your parents what you took unless you ask them to. Their job is to save our lives. Please seek medical attention when possible if you have been drugged. It could be the difference between life and death

    • @Unstrict
      @Unstrict Год назад +11

      People who were drugged are also not very coherent and frequently deny ambulance and medical, also due to the costs (in USA). Always make sure you have a friend that can stay with you even til after you leave. And don't drink too much, of course. The best idea is to not put down your drink and don't go away from the group. Most of the horrible scenarios ik happened were in the same house as a party. Also as a sober addict I believe a lot of teens go to parties to forget about the week and just distract yourself. These are the situations that predators will take advantage of. If my comment came off as harsh, I'm not blaming anybody for anything. But taking precaution around people you don't know BEFORE the event, will forever, be the best idea. It could in fact save your life.

    Story #4- They must have been REALLY sheltered, because I don’t understand what was so terrifying about an old man dancing in a parking lot at night. It’s not like he was coming after them, or paying them any attention. I’m sure that’s why the woman working seemed so confused. She was probably wondering why you were telling her. Lol The parents were right. They were being over dramatic.

      It’s because when women see anyone that isn’t physically attractive in their eyes, it doesn’t matter if they’re doing nothing wrong, they’re automatically deemed a threat just for existing. If they hide prior, a Ring is useless." I'm like "GREAT! I can't afford a Panic Room and I can't move to Canada tho I'd love to.!" Cops says Ring helps also get an in- house security system signs AND a dummy cam." I said...Aren't those obvious and antiqued? She said "Yes but it's not a chance they're willing to take if it not hella obviously fake. And be careful who you tell it's fake. Break ins often happen by people who know someone YOU know! 😮GREAT!CANADA!!!! 😭😭😭
      The cops also said a simple "No Soliciting" sign (in the US that is) gives you the right to have anyone who knocks or rings your bell, locked up for trespassing on the spot, any time of day/night. 🤷 Keep safe! 😁

    Fun fact: it’s not hard to find anyone’s address! Especially today, it doesn’t take much you might use a fake name a character for your profile picture. It just takes one piece of information that you posted at one point or another. The worst part it generally isn’t you posting that information it might be a friend taking a picture of the two of you or just of you at your house and forgetting to strip the meta-data.
    People out there do not understand the amount of information each of your devices, and or your computer gives off ! If this is some thing that bothers you, I suggest you to start learning what to do to protect yourself! If you know the persons name and a little bit more information, you can actually call a service that they use from Amazon to Netflix, or some other service I’m not saying that’s 100% now I’m just trying to give people an idea if you’re really worried about it you should really educate yourself. In fact learn how to do it. Yourself is the best way to protect yourself I’m not trying to scare anybody but we live in a connected world that thrives on other peoples data!

    • @josiegipson90
      @josiegipson90 Год назад +3

      @@oooh19 you're missing the point. It's not that hard to find out someone's address. At the minimum all you need is a name. There are plenty of people finder websites that provide your basic information free of charge. Basic information is typically your phone number, past phone numbers, address, past addresses, and possible relatives..I can run a complete background check for $2. If you use social media and you've shared your city, state, a picture of your house, the more details you share, the easier it is to find out where someone lives and spends their time. If you have kids, have you shared where they go to school, field trips they go on, fundraisers they're doing, etc. Do you post food pics of restaurants, check in when you go places, etc, etc. Even if your social media is set to private, it's still not that hard to get around it. All someone needs to do is find out the name of one of your friends, make a fake page, send you a request and a message saying their fb or whatever social media is messed up and they had to make a new one. You accept. Within minutes, way before you figure out what happened, they have all the information they need. You might not be "stupid enough" to post your address online, but it's already there. All over the place. I'm just not understanding why some people are getting all hung up on their address being private. It's public information..it was literally printed in a book along with your name and phone number just a handful of years ago. It still is if you have a landline.

    I also used to the thing where I'd instantly cling to a relationship no matter how early it was, and I didn't get signals so I need to be told that I was being too much or annoying. Telling me to chill was not the way to go about it either, I needed an upfront "Hey, you're making me uncomfortable, please stop" kind of thing. The difference is, I wasn't violent like that, I got sad as opposed to the angry and dangerous guy that he is. My problem was my family life was lacking so I was trying hard to compensate with dopamine which made me cling to people. When I got to be too much, the dopamine crashed and I got really upset and depressed. There's so much psychology that can go behind something like that. I'm not defending his violence, I'm just saying that I get the other part.

    Story 1: my ex-friend used to be that. I rejected him 3 times gently since we shared a core group of friends. I even asked my friends to help me interfere for him to let him know I was absolutely not interested in him. He always liked to act like my bf to the point where other friends (not in the core grp) thought we were together. I decided to distance a little from him. And I didn't immediately reply his morning next and one text went to 10+ in the time it took me to get to work. I had to very very point blank tell him I'll never ever be interested in him, and he went I know. But acted super possessive and obsessive still. And texted me constantly. I had to ghost and block him from my number and social media in the end and had to stop going to core friend grp meetings. It was super awkward for the 6 of us 😅

      there’s absolutely no way this story is real and written by a woman. not a single woman alive would be this stupid. we ALL received the warnings about strange men at nighttime from our parents. and if this is somehow real, she does NOT represent women

      @@nataliyanabakova7419I don't know, I once had a random woman try to pick me up in a taco shop at 11 pm once. It was a college town though so maybe it was a different environment.

      It definitely sounded like a guy was doing the pickup. No woman is that relaxed, listening to music in the middle of the night, without a care in the world. Besides, it said that they got into “host-mode”, not “hostess-mode”.

    Growing up I lived in a more sketchy city and I was driving home from work, it was 10:30pm or somewhere around that time. I was stopped at a red light and the city pretty much shuts down around 9 so there was nobody really around. This guy walks up to my car and I was only 17 so I didn’t want to break any traffic laws and risk losing my license. He tried opening my car door which luckily was locked. Thankfully the light turned green and I sped off before anything else could happen.

    This is why I will never regret purchasing a video doorbell. It started with the people from West Bengal, a community a lot of people in US at least food hang have parents who hang out with people from the same state as they speak the same language. And that is the little group of friends that is invited during potlucks. A friend of a friend during one of these potlucks. A podiatric Doctor Who lives in Saskatchewan. Who is somewhat bowl? Renowned within the community. Ended up getting a very strange scary clown in his office person a lot. The scary clown character. Who looked like a cross between Tim Curry’s Pennywise and Ronald McDonald. Proceeded to try to get him to the doc office by way of parking lot through the storage area where they kept files. He then proceeded to go to the office door. That’s sort of apparently had a locking mechanisms like a regular house door. Attempted to open and jostle and shake the door vigorously. And when he wasn’t getting his way, with the front of the store, locks easily becoming open. I think they’re kind of affectively disturbed everybody into getting a ring doorbell. It started with one of my mothers friends. And then we just all proceeded to get ring doorbells around my little gated community.
