This video has actually encouraged me to buy a restrictor kit and just do what your doing. Although i doubt id get caught, its just always on my mind that theres a possibility that if i got pulled over again they would ask for a cert and id lose my bike & license
i remember when i was 17 and owned a yamaha mt125 i used to wheelie that bike at like 80 kmh then when i tried my now bike (mt07 A2) for the first time i looped it cus of all the power, and thats with 35kW. so definitly enough to wheelie
if your going to derestrict you should start with the air intake and filter as its hidden and a trained cop cant see it, the throttle should be last to upgrade
here you can take of the restriction almost anywhere, went to a dealer ship and asked if i bought the mt 07 can i take of the restriction? they said, no worries come here a week after the purches we can do that, but you have to sign a document wich states that you are the responssible if anything happens

It isnt really about getting caught imo. If you ever happen to get into a crash you are not insured and basically have been driving a motorcycle that you have no license for. You will get in very big trouble for that. Not even mentioning nothing will be paid by the insurance company.

When realistically it really doesn't even matter because I wont be seeing that sort of money in my life time unless my long lost uncle dies and was a oil tycoon haha. Most cops don't have a clue too. Every time I have done something a bit naughty infront of a cop and they pull me for it I just say yes i'm in the wrong and say I'm sorry and they always just let me go on my way. As soon as you give them a reason to make your life hell they will and they will go around fault finding anything with your bike or car.
Yeah get some nice cops, got some pretty strict ones around here but for the most part they never bother you. Who knows you might also win the lottery one day 😉😂

Hey man, glad you're enjoying the MT! Still handles like a dream, you'll notice the bike picks up speed a lot faster, especially low end the torque will be more aggressive. I feel like the fuel consumption isn't much different, I don't really care much for going crazy speeds but even when I do have a bit of fun I feel like it's no different. Bike feels like a completely different bike, it's like you're use to it, it still feels normal but just a lot more aggressive and faster.

This was my first big bike and power wise it was perfect for motorway use, city riding, countryside riding and commuting to work, never really had any problems with it and enjoyed every second of ownership :) Eventually you’ll probably want to upgrade but it’s a great bike to start on.
Do you know what size the torx is? I can get a T8 size for a couple quid off RS components I’d rather do that than buy a full kit with 90% sizes I won’t use
A2 regulations are dumb anyway. A 100bhp bike handles pretty damn similar to a 94bhp bike that's been restricted to half power. Not like you suddenly unlock 100% of your hand's control once you pass your A license anyway.
even better are the mid 90s super sport 600s, no one knows if 94bhp means crank or rear wheel. thundercat 600, gsxr 600, all make dead on 94bhp at the rear. in theory you could then "restrict" them to 47bhp, which once again, no one knows if 47bhp is at the rear or at the crank. choose an "a2 legal" bike, have it "restricted", enjoy it for what it is. but always have a restriction certificate on hand to show to police. lol

£200 a year I was paying until I moved to Birmingham then it went up to £2000 a year lol the area I'm from has a very low crime rate and the bike was secure but I've since sold all my motorcycles. The restrictor should fit the R7 as I believe it's the exact same underneath :)
With the throttle restriction removed you wont need a tune but many people would recommend a tune with a k&n and an exhaust, some people go without but it's completely up to you :)

Depends how you ride ;) had mine like this not long after passing my A2 for almost 2 years now with no problems, been pulled over, they never really question it.
