The finale is my least favorite episode, not so much because of how they chose to end the show but just how it was executed, giving so much time to the mother in law plot and then leaving the emotion of them leaving into just the last five minutes and not giving Alison almost any lines felt like such a disservice to Charlotte. It also just wasn't very funny or heartwarming, the Christmas tie in with Robin felt really tacked on last minute. Such a great show it deserved to go out with a bang not a whimper.
I was hoping they'd all get 'sucked off' and find peace. I know the ghosts are family to each other but I really don't like the idea of them being trapped in that house for eternity.
@@mazc1358 i couldn't agree more. That's just really depressing if they're stuck in that house for eternity, especially as it's a hotel now which the ghosts obviously didn't want, and the only living that can communicate with them is gone. The ghosts getting sucked off would've given closure. It felt more like an ending to Alisons story, rather than the ghosts

Of course, none of the episodes are BAD, which makes ranking them in any way difficult. I think your idea that Poached Guests suffers from being unconnected in any significant way to any ongoing storyline, or teaching us anything new about the Ghosts (or any of the characters) makes it a good choice for bottom of the list, although there is much to love. Personally I'm not a great fan of the 'Lucy' episodes. Again- nothing wrong with them - just maybe that because narrative tradition dictates that she will prove to be an imposter right from the start, we know how it will end (in general terms). I think The Thomas Thorne Affair is definitely up there with the best. There are so many ideas crammed in there- in a good way! We get to know a lot more about Thomas, and how excruciatingly awful hiis poetic works are, more about 'moving on', and everyone's perspectives differing.
Favorite Joke is in well Poached Guests where Allison says the title, meaning Barclay stole them and Robin thought he actually cooked them and said, Mmm delicious
I really can't choose a favorite episode, I love them all (yes, even the last Christmas special, which was so bittersweet but perfectly wrapped it up). I agree with you about Poached Guests, but just want to add that one of the things about the episode that I enjoyed was the interaction between Allison and Julian. They haven't always had a warm and cozy relationship, so It was fun to watch them plot together against Barclay.
I have a bit of a silly question but does anyone else when they get bored create their own ghosts and like premise for a show based on ghosts or just me 😅

I maintain that A Bump In The Night is one of the best episodes of any television show I've ever seen
Yes! Bump in the Night is probably my favourite, that and Its behind you!?

Yeah that's understandable, I had similar feeling on the execution of it

I haven't watched the thomas thorne affair in a while and was immediately given the image of Julian somehow teaching a spin class with no bikes
