    I bring in the money. I pay all the damn bills, I've helped my wife with her education, I take her to places because I want her to have an enjoyable life, I take care of my son even after pulling a 16hr shift, I sometimes work more than 7 days straight, and I get no intimacy at all. My wife is a stay-at-home mom. Considering a divorce and filing custody for my child after.aa

    To answer your question, the primary takeaway now on my mind after watching this one of your many good practical videos is: find the chemistry in rhythm. It makes so much sense. When you halt progression and take steps back, you are essentially giving your partner agency over the progression (my wife in this case). Also, your point about starting slow-I can see why starting very slow (comforting hand contact, etc), is the foundation on which she will then be willing to build upon with you, in that moment, as you’ve now created a pressure “blow-off valve” appealing to her safety and potential. Pressure in intimacy can absolutely instill anxiety which just furthers the chasm you explain, in the long run. Thanks for the great advice.

    How do wives coach husbands to slow down, remove the pressure, and catch the rhythm without being critical/nagging?

    • @GeoffreySetiawan
      @GeoffreySetiawan  4 года назад +5

      The process is the same as how you would coach your partner into anything. 1) Discover why he's in such a rush, 2) Understand until you can say "I get why you feel, do and think that way". 3) Give your suggestion by acknowledging his POV, giving your suggestion as a question, and expressing your desires through praise (e.g. I understand where you're coming from. Can I tell you what's really attractive for me? ... "I find it so attractive when you take your time and really build things slowly during intimacy. Can't help but feel like I want you more during those times...What do you think?" Let that be the start of your dialogue.

    Maybe this is a super insensitive take but I have always assumed that the act of sex itself is generally immensely satisfying, for men and women. The honeymoon phase,vacations, or numerous other random times my wife seems to enjoy it more than I ever could. Yet there are other times where she seems bothered or extremely uncomfortable. It’s so sad to think that the capacity to want and enjoy great sex lies within all woman but all the prerequisites have to be met before they can.

    Though. I feel like you have put some much responsibility to men and women don't have to work at it. As men we want feel loved and wanted. Hence an outside woman make us happier because we feel needed more than our spouse.

I been with my girl for 4 years the last two years it had been bad ,2,3,4,5 no sex. This is not normal for Any relationship. O had try logic conversation that end up in big arguments and settled for oh OK I will try more. I love her , I respect her and care for her, but I am going crazy, is no fair when you are faithful to the woman you love and she is not understanding you. I would gladly take any advice.

      Aroldo -- This is where your foundations of emotional safety and psychological safety becomes crucial for you to diagnose this for yourself. My partner and I are both entrepreneurs, and there was 2 years where neither of us felt sexual because we were so exhausted, but once circumstances change, rythm changes too. No clear answer here -- but it's about whether you have created a culture where you can gauge this easily.

      We just work with people who own their 100% of the 50%, so that it actually leaves you with something to do that is in your control.
      If we just make videos blaming your partner for everything, what good does it actually do you? DOes it actually give you anything you can do that is in your control to remedy the situation?
      The only thing that leaves is to LEAVE - and you don't need a video to tell you that.

    Watching this video after everything I’ve learned on the internet and therapy I can’t help but laugh. This video is for amateurs. If this advice works in your relationship you didn’t really have any problems to begin with. From a man’s point of view when a woman or wife turns off the switch to intimacy there’s nothing and no one that can turn it back on but her. It’s internally and wholly 100% her issue. Notwithstanding abusive relationships. I found so many errors and flaws and mistakes. I know these ppl are just creating content to make money but you’re misleading a lot of ppl with real problems
