Shaft's dyiing words clarify that Dracula's followers aren't into the whole resurrection thing for their own power or for the evulz. They genuinely seem to believe Dracula is some kind of a purifying judge.
I feel like it kinda makes sense, since he’s a ghost at this point. Like in a weaker state than when he was living. But at the same time, he’s the 2nd to last boss, so the easy win is still baffling
nah, that Shaft was the same. The game is what changed, that's all. In original game, he also had Ball attack, Electricity attack and Fire attack, and kind of the same life span (maybe here it was longer). Difference was, that in previous game he had to deal with Belmont, who used only Vampire killer, and same subweapons as usual for that game. Here you could attack him with everything, including OP weapons. Not to mention, Shaft felt better, when it comes to the boss fight, I believe, because before that - he had audacity to use Castlevania 1 bosses, which were better bosses.

I never thought about that. Great point!!!
The sub boss
His death scream sounds like an Arnold wail
I'm just here for their awsome cheesy conversation.
Shaft sure does have the balls to attack Richter, Maria, and Alucard in these games!
So you are the one called Shaft.
"But Belmont's power is supreme among vampire hunters. None other could defeat it"
Well.........except maybe the Morris clan
You shut your filthy mouth.😁

This Shaft is not Richard Roundtree, he is instead a dark priest.

Shortest Castlevania boss fight

More like a waste of time!
Radionatix true very true. I like that he thinks he can beat you.
It's like fighting with the first boss of the game.
