I’m Lydia and I’m studying medicine in Southampton, Im currently in second year. Before this I did a Biology degree and then I trained to be a science teacher (both in Southampton) before finally getting a place at med school!

Interesting that you are permitted to be placed at a GP practice where you have been a patient. We have to inform our clinical school admin before GP placement due to a conflict of interest and privacy issues, so we are placed elsewhere! 😊

I have a genetic condition called 16p11.2 microdeletion syndrome, which is the reason why I’m epileptic etc. We were supposed to be participating in a clinical study, but COVID 1.0 lockdown happened!
