They have to recast Tchalla. I think Chadwick would want the character to continue. He’s our only black male superhero other than Blade. To carry on with a female lead is not what we need right now.
Chadwick’s own brother said Chadwick would’ve wanted T’Challa to be carried on by another actor. Not recasting the role was a huge mistake and it was made obvious with how poorly the movie performed and killed the hype for the franchise (and now Namor). But of course, recasting William Hurt isn’t a problem or a second thought.
This is my biggest “what if” movie as someone who is a massive fan of Black Panther. But also knowing that Marvel wanted this character to be such a big player in the Multiverse saga.
@@torrencesampson3584 with the critical and commercial failure of Multiverse of Madness and the Marvels and Letita Wright's controversial statements, those plans completely failed. Now Marvel is hoping Deadpool and Wolverine become marvel Jesus.
God, I wish we got this and so many more films with Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. But Coogler and everyone involved I think did a great job with Wakanda Forever.
I was heartbroken when I woke up to hear the tragic news of Chadwicks passing as the man was not just perfectly cast T'Challa, but he was an exceptional actor and human being who even with his condition he still dedicated himself to continuing with his career and I respect that he kept it to himself. Even without Chadwick in the role I did quite like Wakanda Forever and I thought even though it wasn't perfect, it was still an incredibly heartfelt and somber goodbye to both T'Challa and Chadwick, tackling grief, isolation, colonisation etc...and exploring other characters like Shuri, Queen Ramonda, M'Baku, Namor etc... Although I wish we could've gotten the original script of T'Challa and Namor facing off together, I do think this was of course a difficult situation and in my eyes they did the best they could and I think they did a good job respecting the character and actors passing. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman, rest in power my King👑🕊️🐈⬛ WAKANDA FOREVER🙅🏾♂️
Black Panther 2 was still very good considering the unfortunate circumstances in which Boseman passed! to make a quality project with such short time and drastic alterations! I credit everyone who contributed to the adjustment!
For once I think the final product was better, but I miss Chadwick so much. Only celeb deaths that affected me this much were Robin Williams and Jeff Beck.
I So Sad Loss is Never See Chadwick Boseman Return and Original Version in MCU Timeline , But I Hope Can Make Happen of Chadwick Boseman Version on What If Season 3 !
To this day I still think they should've just recast T'challa. It wasn't exactly unprecedented in the MCU they'd already recast several high-profile characters and will even be doing so again later this year with Thaddeus Ross (who also died and required a recast). Boseman was great in the role, but he didn't own the character, and the MCU will now suffer for it. I personally skipped the second film because I completely lost interest. I was only interested in following T'challa's story. The rest of the cast sort of just felt like set dressing, like Q or M in a Bond film. They were nice to have but were fundamentally there to support, not to lead. Shuri was never going to headline like T'challa, it just wasn't feasible, and the sales seem to reflect this. At the end of the day, it's a movie, and the actors are just doing a job. Recasting someone would've been totally reasonable if given a bit of a delay. I think the audience would've understood, even Boseman's own brother stated that Chadwick would've wanted to see the character be recast. Honestly, the whole thing felt more like a cash grab to me. The studio didn't want to wait for the audience to mourn Chadwick or put the movie on hold to recast him with someone suitable. They wanted their cash cow film NOW so instead of doing the more sensible thing creatively and emotionally they produced the sequel on time with the cast they had and exploited the emotions surrounding the death of a real person in said film to cover their tracks. It just feels kind of scummy to me.
While obviously the original idea of Black Panther 2 would've naturally been better as it would've been T'Challa's story continued, I do think Coogler and Marvel did the best they could to move forward after Boseman's death. No matter what they did, some fans would be upset. I think they upheld Boseman's legacy and showed alot of respect to him.
They did the best they could with what they had. Black Panther 2 was a good, emotional movie. But you can't help but think while watching how much better it could have been with Chadwick Boseman. He was the future of marvel and could have carried the next avengers movie. Marvel is really missing a huge talent with Boseman gone. The future movies have no one of his caliber to replace him.
@@nathanieldiaz5254 No they didn't shill, sit down. Even Boseman said he wanted it to go on even if it wasn't him, initially telling us something. Only idiots think killing off a man's legacy was a good idea
@@EmperorGuyver Why the insults? You're actively looking for a fight where there is none. You think they should've recast him, I don't. No need to be disrespectful about it.
Apart of me did wish he was recast but after seeing the movie I think it was well put together movie and one of the better ones in Phase 4. I appreciate the emotion that was put into this and I think they did a terrific job of honoring Chadwick Boseman. Plus at the end they gave Black Panther a son so in several years from now when the son grows into an adult they can tell more T'Challa stories later on and Shuri being Black Panther has a bunch of story potential. That's one part of the original draft I don't like where having two Black Panthers at once feels too repetitive. Superheroes have always had sidekicks and mirror copycats of each other but I felt like this was not only too on the nose but also wouldn't have brought as much story potential as what we got instead. And while Chadwick Boseman would want his legacy continue and recast even I'm that he would also respect Kevin Fiege and Marvel's decision on not recasting him
“He suffered in silence.”

Shuri's suit and the concepts were sick as fuck, ngl
5:51 Beautiful picture.
We lost Kobe, Nip, and Chadwick Boseman in an eerily close proximity 🙏🏿🙏🏿♥️💪🏿✊🏿
Yeah. Supposedly, Dr Strange, Captain Marvel and Black Panther were supposed to be the leaders of this saga like Iron Man, Thor & Captain America.
@@BurritoKingdom we were robbed 😪
@@torrencesampson3584 with the critical and commercial failure of Multiverse of Madness and the Marvels and Letita Wright's controversial statements, those plans completely failed. Now Marvel is hoping Deadpool and Wolverine become marvel Jesus.
Wakanda Forever is the best movie I don't think I can ever watch again. Too heart breaking.
God, I wish we got this and so many more films with Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. But Coogler and everyone involved I think did a great job with Wakanda Forever.
Rest in peace our king.
The MCU era of this RUclips Channel begins!
Rip Chadwick what an actor
Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman, rest in power my King👑🕊️🐈⬛
WAKANDA FOREVER🙅🏾♂️
a legend lives on a great actor WAKANDA FOREVER
What could’ve been: Joe Zito’s Spider-Man
Black Panther 2 was still very good considering the unfortunate circumstances in which Boseman passed! to make a quality project with such short time and drastic alterations! I credit everyone who contributed to the adjustment!
Recast Tchalla 💯💯💯
Should be Ryan Gosling
I believe they said the lone in Endgame was a coincidence. Great video though! Very well put together and great editing, as always.
Coogler and the crew did a great job making the movie we got despite the circumstances
For once I think the final product was better, but I miss Chadwick so much. Only celeb deaths that affected me this much were Robin Williams and Jeff Beck.
The MCU should have recast Chadwick Boseman and not kill off his character
Coogler had an incredibly difficult task ahead of him but I think the end producto came out great given the circumstances
They should have recast
Really makes you realize his death affected the mcu so greatly. It would have been 10000x better if he lived.
Wonder if there’s an alternative reality where there is a BP2 with Chadwick. Major loss, RIP.
Ryan coogler is a genius. He had to go through all that and still manage to make a little over 800 million.
This movie could have benefitted from a recast.
No, they made the right choice.
@@nathanieldiaz5254 Disrespectful is killing off a man's legacy who made these while dying for you ungrateful children
W.Snipes needs to be in one of these, hopefully as Blade-cameo thing, or at least a villain as the MF is great in such rolls.
coffee is ready bossman let go lol
4:19 I always wished to see Halle Berry’s Storm interact with Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther
They should’ve recasted him and dedicate the movie to his memory
Am I the only one whose heart still breaks when they hear or see Chadwick Boseman?
Rip Chadwick
And while Chadwick Boseman would want his legacy continue and recast even I'm that he would also respect Kevin Fiege and Marvel's decision on not recasting him
Chadwick you will be known as the black panther of the MCU best part of it
