True, are you sure there is Saline water in Punjab like this guy claims? Remember, Punjab is 1000s of miles away from any sea, so it cannot have salt water source.
Of course there are ways to harvest Fresh water shrimps. I think these people are doing mischief, one of the bad thing about this is due to salt water seepage, the farm near them also will have problems and then the farmer has no option but to sell land to these people

No offense but Our Punjabi brothers have a very different way thinking , they can be very regressive and barbaric at times most of them clearly lack a logical way to interpret things and don't think about the future consequences at all
Trying to reason with them is akin to bashing your head on a wall.
What these guys are doing is extremely stupid .

@@trivialthings SALT cannot be simply created, there have been areas in other areas of country which are thousands of miles from sea but the land is never SALTY. how does the salt come there? These areas are supplied by Fresh water from North (Indus/Saptsindhu) what are the chemical changes that makes land that is fertile, have salinity? Due to farming Mexican rice? REALLY?
If you see with the flying drone shot, some farms are dried and "Salty" and next to it there is farm that is lush green with rice crop? how exactly? There is mischief, that someone is doing because they want to try and so Shrimp farming etc, this is deliberate mischief. YES due to over exploitation the land can lose its fertility, but does not make it Saline when there is no source for Saline water for 1000s of miles, but yes, they can get Rock salt just off the border.
