In the district of Jalgaon, a region in the state of Maharashtra with increasingly erratic rainfall and poor soil quality. Years of intensive farming and poor irrigation methods have also led to a steady degradation of soil, which has impacted the livelihoods of local farmers. This prompted one environmentalist to try out other regenerative farming methods, adapted to the specific needs of the region.

Some people say that the govt kneeled down for farmers, khalistanis etc when it repealed the recent agricultural bills but they don't get it, we need nature based farms , everything can't be technological and industrialised, we need open green spaces, farms, cultural and natural beauty, how can they even support those sort of agendas?

Organic content of soil must be increased and improved. Most of farmers out of greed use excessive amount of chemical pesticides and fertilisers leads to degradation of soil. Farmers must be educated in this regard.

As it seems perfect but it isn't.
The microbial decomposition of biomass releases very high amount of methane , which is 34 time stronger green house gas . So , instead of decomposition in field we can collect and decompose it in facility so methane can be stored.
And decomposed biomass can be return back to farmers.

Yes when we scale these management practices up, other problems of such losses and emissions will surface. Anaerobic digestion along with biogas production could indeed be an option to look into. Collaboration between many farms can help exploit economies of scale...

There is no 'can be' about Regenerative Agriculture. It works, we know why it works and have proved it over and over again. BUT you can't expect it to work in isolation. For instance a dry interior is due to the wasteland between it and the coast where the rain comes from: see Dr. Walter Jehne; also see the solo efforts in the American desert region. But successful individual efforts can lead the neighbours to rethink; and even that can't be guaranteed as numerous examples exist involving decades of intransigence from land-owners just over the fence all over the planet. Farming is the heart and soul of dull-headed conservatism. Sometimes the politicians can be useful, but not often.

There is a waste land in punjab which is degraded due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Some people said if you put your feet on the surface of that land .you will become sick. people are getting sick due to cancer and kidney desease. Soil get alkaline salted. . And now farmers are doing shrimp farming.we can regenerate soil with this technique by using indian indeginus cows and multilayer mixed farming.

Why this people talk about regenerative farming, usage of cover crops were all invented in west, we are doing in for thousands of years only after the so called "Green revolution" our farmers turned to chemical based farming, even then some parts Bharat preserved the methods till date, we have very specific tree (called poosam in Tamil) to provide leaves that mixed with natural fertilizer (cattle dung) to strengthen the soil in our villages farmers still use that method though the methods had been changing in last 15 years

Regenerative Ag follows 4 basic principles of nature
      1. No tillage
      2. Covering the soil
      3. Living roots
      4. Livestock integration
      5. Improving water cycle
      6. Maintaining the soil food web
Each of these processes are regenerative by definition and is regenerative agriculture. We are doing this now on a scale of large farming systems with significant improvement in soil health, plant health and human health , you have to visit to understand a 10 min video is not enough to understand the whole system.
      Permaculture may be similar
