Honestly, I prefer hearing a bit of room noise for things like RUclips videos. Helps things to feel real. Obviosuly it depends what you're going for. For the podcast sound, the 57 will do much better, but I like the shotgun mic for a more natural sound.
Man, I have Comica boomx-d pro. I have a couple Shure mics from my pa here, never thought to use them. Pretty sure one of them is similar to the 57. Thanks!
