The fact you don't help anyone with your incorrect videos....
The military service has two options here. You can apply for civil service. Coffee is about 3.50Fr. on average.
We have one dog, it’s not a law or rule to have two or more?
2:26: Wrong. The Highest Peak is Dufour Peak at 4634 meters high (and not what you wrote: 3920 m).
3:18: Wrong. Bank Secrecy doesn't apply this way anymore.
3:47: Wrong. You can definitely hold one pet such as only one dog.
9:12: Wrong again. And biggest urban legend told by foreigners (and former foreigners who lived in Switzerland - you will find stritcly NO LAW that prevent you to flush the toilet after 10 PM. It's ridiculous. Nobody would want to make laws about this. And just picturing the fact people are allowed to party in a flat, (Switzerland is ranked 1st on Freedom Index 2023 - they certainly would NOT forbid flushing toilets after 10 PM. It's so weird to constantly keep on bringing up this fake news no one could ever demonstrate it was true...)
11:25: Wrong. Never heard of this. People don't bring always porcelain to break.
11:39: Wrong. Never heard of this too. Made up - again.
Thanks for your corrections here. We will take care of it in a future video
@@all-about-europe It still amazes me how people think we swiss wouldn‘t use the toillet after 10pm what do they imagen we do?
Shitting in a corner?
Another topic is the ww2 era withoit any mentioning of the washington agreement of 1946 thinking that switzerland kept nazi german assets.
A bit naive to think the allies would have just ignored it.
And then the banking…how is it possible that people still don‘t know about banking reform laws even after 15 years?
If you are american there is only one bank that will even allow you to open up a bank account and thats because they are forced to by law.
In general difficult to open up a bank account as a foreigner in switzerland.
@@all-about-europe also: not 48 mountain peaks, rather 48 peaks 4000 meters or higher. its hard to say how many peaks in total, depending on various reasons. (probably around 1500)
That fake flush law is really getting on my nerves...wonder where this rumour comes from originally..
@@switzeridoo I don't know... It's so weird. And when we think about it, it's so dumb to keep on saying it. Who on earth would forbid to flush the WC after 10 PM? 🤣 Just saying it makes it laughable. The worst are people saying «When I was there, it was forbidden». And when you ask the text of the law, no-one can find it. Because Switzerland is too clever to legislate on urban legends. 😉
😍

Switzerland has no Capital, Bern is only a federal City
Beautiful
Thank you!
And I hate to rain on your parade of beautiful. No - somebody bringing China to a wedding so that people can trample on it is an idiotic statement. Probably misunderstood from a Jewish tradition called "Mazel Tov" - look it up on Google. This posting is an insult to the viewrs.

That video has several things wrong or very badly explained with it which is surprising given that it is only short facts
The way you pronounce some names of cities, mountains and lakes for instance is perfectly not understandable. Sorry, man!
No worries man, are you from Switzerland?
Yes, but American accent is always charming.
Eeehhh, if Die Schweiz is a hidden gem to you, you my dear know nothing about Europe.
Actually my mother's boyfriend is from die Schweiz so I know a lot and have been there multiple times as a kid. For many of my fellow Americans and fellow citizens of the world this country is a hidden gem!
@@all-about-europe it's not hidden. Since when ist die Schweiz hidden to tourists?

The only problem are the prices.
Almost every single "fact" in this video is partly or completely wrong. Do your homework...
7:09 Nobody would understand these words the way you pronounce them. There should be a native speaker pronouncing them.

Tina Turner and Rene Zellweger AREN’T Swiss ! 😂
Tina Turner became Swiss in 2013. She even ended the American citizenship then.
As to Renée Zellweger: her father was Swiss.
Its a beautiful place but to much taxes make it a dangerous place
True, the taxes are insanely high which is the case for the majority of Western Europe
@@all-about-europe Taxes are way lower than the rest of Europe? I don't know what you all are talking about
Just Google taxes country map, and you will find lots of evidence that the swiss pay less than half as many taxes as neighboring countries.
Nonsense. 15% if quite low a tax rate. in France it's 45%, in Germany 47%. The Swiss taxes are among the lowest in the world.
Point 2 is Wrong Switzerland doesnt have an official Capital. Berne is only the seat of the Government. but every Canton has its own Capital.
Point 3 is Partly Wrong Lake Geneva is only half in Switzerland the other half belongs to Fance
Point 5 is Wrong cause today there are Still Multiple Countrys across the World that doesnt have Women Voteing enabled, But within the EU it was very late indeed.
Point 9 is Partly Wrong Swiss Men must enlist on military however only a minority can enter the service those left out can do civil service or nothing however there is a fee on both other choises. Service on Military or payment ends by reaching the age of 32. Swiss Army offers also proffessional military service if you want to do it as a Proffesion and beeing in the section where only Proffessional are allowed like the Leadership, Aviation Piloting, and more.
Point 12 hardly depends on location and Luxurity. prices range starts around 0.50 CHF but in some Locations you pay even more than 6.00 CHF.
Point 14 Did change in 2009 USA, Europe and some more countrys have accsess to the information but not all countrys in the world.
Point 16 is Wrong there's no such rule you can buy 1 or howmany you want. For some species it might be adviced to buy 2. but only adviced.
Point 22 it may be the largest (i dont know) but it is fully man made. the Icecave isnt a natural occurence.
Point 23 the cows dont get decorated just to walk thou a town they come down from the alps where they have grown up during spring, bringing them down to slauter many of them in Sptember and october.
Point 25 well the Pics and clips are from the octoberfest in Munich which is in Germany and not switzerland
Point 26 to be presice anoung the 26 cantons are 6 halfcantons which have splited their vote in gov
Point 27 is Wrong the election to become one of the 7 Bundesräte (Presidents) happens all 4 year. However each year one of the 7 becomes president for 1 year. but that doesnt mean he gets more power than the other 6. hes just the representive on the international stage.
in the Parlament each year becomes 1 Parlamentarian, President of the Parlanent however that position also doesnt have more voteing power than normal Parlamentarians. its job is simply to maintain order on the parlament.
Point 32 WTF no normal Swiss citizen speaks like that, only migrants that doesnt yet master the dialects of swiss german. and dont expect the other parts to speak the same words. But a *HINT* Swiss Peoples learn 3 Languages in School 2 of the country and ENGLISH so about everyone does understand it at least a bit specialy in the touristic zones.
Point 38 Is Wrong thats a normal Autobahn Tunnel (Highway Tunnel)
Point 41 is not a Law its a siciety rule only respect your neighbours and there sleep or face the consequeces of maybe loosing or apartment cause the landlord quits the contract with you. But you can Shower or Flush toilets only try to keep the the noise down of music, TV and try not to walk like a elephant
Point 43 Emmenthal Chees is also known as Swisschees in USA
Point 52 A few may do it but thats a thing in all Countrys that speak German since its give the German Saying "Scherben bringen Glück" Shards bring luck
Point 53 is Wrong some may do it but its simply a choise of fashion and has no meaning to it. In Nothern Europe (Sweeden and Norway) thats more a thing maybe you mixed up the countrys
Point 54 each arm of the Cross stands for 1 of the Languages spoken in Switzerland
Point 57 Is Wrong no such law exists but forestkeepers will manage the Forest to keep it healthy but thats within the same forest and not somewhere else.
Man man man I knoe makeing a vid is Work and collecting all the data but that vid did showcase a ton of Farytales and i didnt go into the landmark stuff.
About Half of the Information in this Video are ether Outdated or Compleatly Wrong (if i borrow Donald Trumps words) Fake News

Switzerland is no longer neutral.
We're not neutral anymore, have we taken Lichtenstein again? How the heck did you come up with that statement. Think about active neutrality and how Switzerland has practiced it so far.
@@xxx_phantom_xxxw_t_a9479 Switzerland lost its neutrality when it sided with NATO against Russia.
@@hoppy1970 So if we decide not to go to war (which is probably the case in principle), then we are no longer neutral? I see that if you're neutral, you're not allowed to have an opinion. If that's your understanding of it, then you don't really know much about Switzerland's neutrality.
NATO has as little to do with us as the EU.
We will always be neutral 😊
@@silviasadok7442 Sanctioning Russia, at NATO's bequest, is not neutrality.
