I saw Gavin/Bush perform along with Breaking Benjamin & Alice in Chains this September--he was the single most charismatic/magnetic on stage presence I've ever seen or even heard of. And he still ran around the entire venue per usual. Legend!
I've been listening to Bush's music since 96 but only now find out he likes Nick Cave & Aphex Twin. It's Great to see we're all inspired by the same type of artist
Gorgeous Gavin, remembering Bush at Bristol UK, my poorly daughter showing you her scrapbook of all of you guys with pics of you & all of your beautiful children. So thrilled you all signed it & Robin gave her his drumsticks 🙏 Thanks from the heart for her forever precious memory. Happy Christmas to you all, stay happy & healthy💕
This man has only made one album that I've ever been interested in relistening to and yet I have such a high respect for that album that I would gladly watch this video
always resented this guy because people would ask me if I was named after him. But after watching this found out dude is mad cool with a good ass music style
What a nice and interesting guy. This makes me like Bush more. 16 Stone was a great record. When I was 13 I would learn comedown and machinehead on the guitar.
This is the best one yet!! And a great storyteller and a true gentleman. Rick's choices are just filled with great stories and first hand knowledge and experience. He knew Bon Scott before his success in the very early 70's so Rick could write a multi volume book on his experiences. This man has taken an amazing journey from Aussie band The Zoot (who could play real hard for a pop band) through to his hard fought American success. Not to mention 'Working Class Dog' being one of the best albums of the 80's hands down.
I’m not that big of a Bush fan anymore but I used to listen to them a lot back in the days. This is actually a really good episode. Much better than many of the previous episodes. I would rank this as the second best episode after the Jawbreaker episode. Great job Amoeba!
Great interview and picks. Please don’t sleep on the new Bush album from this year. It’s absolutely fantastic. It has some of the best songs they’ve ever done, Slow Me, Kiss Me I’m Dead, and Creatures of the Fire
Seen this Cat last year at the casino badass show cool Cat one of the best ive seen knows how to treat fans for dawm sure thank God i finally got to see em
Saw Bush during the AIC tour this year. Gavin killed it and I revisited 16 Stone after 25 years. He’s great! This dude has put up with Gwen and her BS for years. Anyone who can do that earns my respect.
That was never proven. There was also rumors that she was getting with Blake at the same time. She did a big smear campaign on Gavin in the media. He actually has some class and didn’t trash the mother of his children.
@@jakedibiase7404 Gwen never trashed Gavin. Gwen started seeing Blake after she separated with Gavin. Gavin himself admitted that he cheated and wished he didnt do it. Shes been cheatong for 3 years before he got caught. No matter how u twisted it, Gavin cheated on Gwen.
Are you sure you don’t want to listen to the Clash? 🤣loved them so much! Great choices and fun to watch- I forgot how much I loved After the Gold Rush- I’m going to pull it out again!
I grew up listening to Gavin's solo work especially the song The Current collaborated with Blue Man Group, it was on TV all the time and obviously Bush. Then as I grew older I started listening to The National and became quite obsessed with them and now the last years I've been very into Aphex Twin. It's weird to see Gavin be on sort of a same route music wise. He has excellent and broad taste. Still a cool guy with a great voice and guitar tone.
Anyone who likes Aphex Twin is a winner. Be a winner. Get some Twin
I’m Board with Aphex Twin.

All these years and I still have so much respect for Gavin. I love his music and I love his taste and appreciation in music. Great episode Amoeba!

X Ray Spex! Totally underrated band that everyone need to hear!

First gig I ever went to, Bush Dublin 1997. Stagediving Gavin and everything.
Pleasant dad, good choices, Nick, Tom, Aphex...

Glad he highlighted X-Ray Spex. Not a Bush guy but I respect him for that.
gavin's a cool dude 🤘
Got to see Bush in 2019 along with are lady peace and live the man killed it lots of energy
Thoughtful, well-spoken, and his choices have piqued my interest and/or validated what I’m familiar with. His music stands the test of time too.
I would love to see Bush in concert. I’ve been a huge fan of their music since I was a kid. I also love Gavin’s solo music.
This is a good one
Thanks Gavin
Geez, a flawless bag. Very surprised.
Interesting collection of music
What a lovely heart!
If you ever get a chance to see him in concert do it. He will give you your monies worth...a beast on stage and so entertaining
Hoping I can see him in February
Not surprised he has great tate. Always felt he was underrated, especially as a songwriter.
Hey Gavin I like that song More than machines. I'm glad you've released more music.
nice one and nice smile he has, too. On top of that, he picked X-Ray Spex
Gavin is definitely a cool dude.
Very chill here. Fun clip.
And one of my favorite is razorblade suitcase great album
So truly misunderstood. Raw and harsh. I swear if the Pixies wrote “Swallowed”, or “Insect Kin” they’d be top ten with critics

Gavin Rosedale 's bag may be my favourite thus far ❤️
Can't go wrong with Tom Waits.
The man!
Awww. I love Poly!
Saw Bush back in the late 90s in Paris. I still wear the Razorblade Suitcase tour shirt! Quality merch... :)

Marc Ribot, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, X-Rat Specs...ok he wins.
Impressed w these pics 👏 👌

I like Tom Waits, his music is so good. And I like X Ray Spex and Polytyrene. Such an excellent group.
Music-learned, well-spoken, tasteful with good manners ~ Charming, Gavin! 😎💯
He seems like a really cool, down to earth guy.
The National and Neil Young are on my list :)
