@@j76GAMING ye I'm coming back to all these tutorial videos now that I'm playing it on latop. this is a great video! its my third time trying to get back into the game and i still dont quite understand the combat system haha (ive been studying that as well). @@j76GAMING that would be cool! I’m just kind of far in the one to Wii U so to start all over is something I don’t want but I’m sure Nintendo will make some good quality of life improvements so here’s hoping! 😁👍🏽
One of the best games ever made. But you really need to dig into the side content like trying to build one of the best skells etc. to really appreciate it.
Depends on what gets changed whether it'll remain useful. Unless the menus get a drastic overhaul, the current steps to navigate through them will become outdated. 3 has already shown us a streamlined version of x's menu's (it and future redeemed borrows from X more than you think). Part of it being difficult is actually selling the narrative itself. That adjusting to this new life is hard, and dangerous. The entire mindset is "you know how to use a gun? Yes? Good enough for now, you'll catch on as we go." They give you the basics, and that's pretty much it. The game isn't here to hold your hand and baby you. That luxury can't be afforded in this new world. Xbc2 is the same, because rex too is having to learn as he goes. Splatoon has a similar way that it's tutorial is just the basics in controls, and lets you go to "figure it out" either online or in single player. It expects a lot of you but i think its ultimately a good thing. Cool thing is though is that if you're observant enough, you have a way to skip a chunk of that tutorial.
I really think that this is an incredible tutorial. I've just finished XC1 - and I'm already playing it again lmao - and I wanted to try the next entry. I would say it is the black sheep of the three (not counting the other xenos) but I found its community loves it. I might be starting to love it too. I'm like 4 hours in and I want to go on playing, but man, the exams don't make that easy. Thank you a lot. I did learn with your tips. PS. aRE yoU SuRE?? lmao
I just got the game again and the last time i played i was just a pussy and didnt know how to battle, now everything is a piece of cake lol, much love man
@@thestarfish5644 yeah bro there sure is lol i’m on chapter 6 right now, i’ve been having a lot of fun but i have to admit this shit is hard if you don’t grind like hell. It’s been a lot of trial and error but it’s been satisfying too
Only game I never got around to trying. Ended up finding it at my library! Since no one here has Wii U I can check it out over and over. Love it so far, not hitting myelike XC 1, 2, and 3 but I'm still having an absolute blast!
Lol, i played the game at launch for like 80 hours but kinda stopped because of some walking fortress boss. Now today i wanted to check the game out again and i remember nothing. On the display it says that my paycheck is ready for pickup and i have no clue where i do that. I also learnt that i can fly my mech…somehow. 😂 i defo need more than your guide to get back in again. Thank you though!
I‘ve just finished Chapter 5 today. Hopefully I will het my Skell soon but I need to do some Exploration first (Noctilum). I am currently lvl24. Is there a moment in the game when you can’t run around free anymore and you’re like story locked? And after you beat the story, can you continue in the open world or will you be send back to the point before the last mission ends?
Howdy :) Yeah there is a point in the story that is a point of no return (until you finish the story). No spoilers, but the game will prompt you twice asking if you are sure if you want to continue. That is in chapter 12. But once you finish the story you can go back to free roaming around. Lots to do after the story. :D
So I played this game before and my disc doesn't work so I trashed it but after a couple of years I decided to pick it up again and when I remember playing I HATED going out of the city because monsters might kill me any tips on that?
Other than practicing the combat and trial and error there isn't much you can do about dealing with the enemies. If you are really having a hard time then play as elma and use her art shadow walker to sneak past larger enemies. Worst case scenario dying doesn't make you lose anything when you are free roaming so just take your time and have fun with it.
On the game pad, click on the tile that you want to travel to. It has to have a probe on it. If you see a beam of light in the world, make sure you run up to it and plant a probe. That will unlock the ability to fast travel. :)
@@j76GAMING thanks for the answer, i don't know what happened, i clicked any buton in the game pad but nothing happened. I play on the Cemu emulator. does that matter too? I played Zelda Botw on Cemu too and it didn't matter. and in the end I gave up playing XC X and just let it go
@@balon9115 It's been a while since you're post but I just got into CEMU after wanting to play this game and my Wii-U crapped out on me. If you setup controller 2 as your keyboard, there should be a "graphics pack" that enables "keybaord gamepad". Then you just hit tab on your keyboard to toggle between your main screen and the gamepad screen. The mouse will function as your finger. If you gave up on this since your post a year ago, CEMU has been updated several times with new features specific to XCX performance and functionality. Now that BoTW can't really be improved on CEMU anymore, the people developing it have moved on to fixing/tweaking other games and XCX was next on the list!

The best tip is that dual guns are your friend and ghostwalker is the most disgustingly broken art I've ever seen ever.
