One of my all-time favourite game shows is a show called 'Pointless' which is essentially the inverse of Family Feud, as the goal is to think of answers, while correct, that as few members of the audience could recall as possible.
Never heard of it but a super interesting concept

just forewarning you ryan: the apartment building my parents live in has multiple astroturf areas for the dogs in the building, but they reek of old hot piss all the time because it's not real grass and i don't know if you really want that smell permeating your outside area

Most life changing advice I ever received was ten years ago when my friend explained to me that the human body was designed to poop from a squatting position. So when you’re on the toilet you should either place a stool under your feet, or just lift your knees (by raising your feet onto your tip toes) to form more of a squat, which helps the poop slide out more easily.

As an IBS girlie this has saved my life on numerous occasions. In high school I had a teacher show us commercials for “ridiculous products” to show different ways ppl can skew data/manipulate you to buy stuff. One of the commercials was for the “Squatty Potty”and I couldn’t bring myself to say that it definitely worked cuz how embarrassing would that be. She was really railing on it tho and I just sat there knowing how wrong she was.
@@natalietipsword9677 yessss!!! That’s exactly what it was for me, too! My friend showed me the squatty potty commercial and we were dying but then she told me how and why it actually works and it changed my life! I never had the actual product but I’ve found ways to makeshift one over the years 😂

Love the pencil segments, I'm a nut for office and art supplies. I have a recommendation, Blackwing pencils, expensive but very nice. Used to be in on their subscription boxes with a couple of friends and we would split the pencils up three ways every quarter. Their 6b pencil is one of my favorite drawing pencils, buttery smooth.

I really enjoyed this episode. I love how the topic can be so random, yet you all will talk about it with interest. I liked it that you all wrote with the pencils and remembered the names of them when discussing how they wrote. The family feud segment was fun also. I love this podcast and look forward to the new episodes every week.
Ryan and Byron should do a mini fya pod episode with theme park news/ updates that are interesting to you guys. And hopefully visits to theme parks.

I like this pod cause the idea of talking at length about topics that only a select group care about, like pens, has turned out to be more relaxing than boring. I kinda tune out at times doing other tasks and then tune it and I didn't miss anything that would mean I can't enjoy the rest of the pod. 10 outta 10 for chilling

i was sick a lot as a kid so i watched a ton of price is right. bob really reminded me of my grandpa so that was a big reason why i found it so comforting, kinda shocking and unexpected to hear that theres people who exist that havent seen any episodes 😭
i also watched let's make a deal a lot lol, and jeopardy followed by wheel of fortune was a family event in my house during dinner. then in later years it was who wants to be a millionaire and deal or no deal. there was also press your luck, pyramid, ninja warriors, are you smarter than a 5th grader, etc. game shows were a huge part of my upbringing needless to say. however we only very occasionally watched family feud. i think because my mom was a bit of a prude (for lack of a better word, i dont mean this in a negative way) and didn't like the innuendos that often made their way onto the show haha
Shane should have a pen show like Sheldon had a show about flags on Big Bang Theory. 10/10 would watch ✏️

Ryan saying he wanted to throw the pencils like darts brought back a memory of my dad in his classroom. He would sharpen lost pencils and throw them into his hanging ceiling tiles. Don't know how he started doing it but he has been a teacher for 20 years and pencils have been in the ceiling every year.

Ryan needs to do more research about Hardrock Park, which unfortunately went defunct after its second season open, but was one of the coolest theme parks I have ever been to.
