I love these type of videos. Being an industrial electrician I don't see much of the domestic kit. Really informative and walked through the whole process. Top video Ben : )

Hi Is the 10mm joint the diameter of the black swa sleeve? Or when the sleeve is removed?
Trying to find one suitable but I don't know how to measure for what I need to buy. Any help is appreciated!

10mm is the size of the cores in the cable mate. It could be 3 core or 4 core? Depending on how many phases you have

@@toolboxtalking it's an old 2 core 1.5mm (red and black)
It feeds the shed for lighting. There's a joint that's failed. It was just taped together. £300 just for the cable (bigger) to replace the lot as it's quite far from the house or I make do with a joint til I start the extension 😁

Great video ben! I was just wondering what type of earth strap that is? Does it come with the joint kit?

I agree about the mess of the resin
The new resin pack is an absolute nightmare to remove the sealing strip to mix the compound. I prefer the black resin compared to the grey, ive yet to use the grub screw joiners, ive only had the crimp versions

I think they are similar, both a bit of a nightmare to do, but they do they job great
