How to make out which type of joint to employ
Heat shrink or cold shrink or cast resin.
Or it depends on case to case basis
In indian environment in most of tenders specifications are given for heat shrink jointing kits only. And many few vendors are providing quality cable jointing and termination kits like 3M, Ensto, Gala Thermo, Compaq, etc.
