Thanks! Yeah $1500 does seem like it would be a good price for something like this. The OG is around $1000 I believe, and that has the same sort of vibe, though it has less range and some of the components are different. So for the budget friendly option, the OG might be the way to go. Currently filming a comparison video since I have both. Should be up next week.
Yeah I don’t really have that problem at this particular gas station. But I would suggest locking it up whenever you’re about. Maybe two if you’re in Atlanta from the sounds of it. 😂😂
I rode one of the smaller ones around this past weekend at an expo. It was pretty fun and really smooth, but it didn't feel like it would have the guts to carry an adult up an decent hill.
They are perfect for events. Alot of folks I know use them for travel (cause you can fly with them) or they go to car shows, and use the JR to run around and check out all the fancy cars. Tons of good use cases for it.
The price is the reason i chose to buy Roadrunner V2, it would take 3 batteries to match the range you get on Roadrunner plus it can go 34mph and weighing 55 pounds isn't too bad!
Mine has a headlight and brake/taillight. I could buy a bigger battery for $400 which would add about 12 miles (total of 36ish) to its range. Living on Oahu, it is a perfect scooter for getting around in town. I chose this over a Onewheel, and I'm glad I did
@@dariusx4829 I think they're different use-cases at the end of the day. But I do see how from a value perspective the XP does appeal to a ton of folks. I think they're a great ;)
Great review I would buy it but not at that price I mean for 250 more dollars you could buy a ghost cat 2.0. It looks like it’d be fun to cruise around on and customize tho
Yeah I can understand that. I think the price tag stems for the uniqueness, build quality, and the fact you can fly with these bad boys. So you’re not paying for a small bike, there’s some extra pros here you can’t find on another bike. That Ghost is pretty cool! Definitely a different type of use case from the jackrabbit though. ;)
No way! I've seen some big ole boys hop on this and cruise around. You might lose a little bit of range, but it will definitely handle ya on most moderate terrain.
I’d probably give it a 92 because it is kind of in its own category. It’s lighter than most, can fly with it, which most can’t, Range is a downside for me, but throwing on the range buster makes a big difference, especially if you’ve got the coin to throw down for two of those here.
They want $260 for that more comfortable seat??? They need to make the next size up model...and keep the same price.. Then I would buy... not now... too small..and too expensive.
Oh! Yeah that Kinekt Suspension Seatpost! Doesn't actually come with a seat, just that suspension. That Suspension seatpost is actually the same price ($269) if you get it straight from Kinekt. So it's not a JackRabbit exclusive. Most Pedego dealers have a wide selection of Kinekt seatpost suspensions as well.
There's definitley more affordable ones out there. BUT the Kinekt seatposts are nice! But would most people be happy with a $99 NCX from Suntour? Probably :P
"it feels like it's kind of a childs play thing" and that is exactly why i bought them for my kids. the "kids" bikes are bollocks. they can ride this all day and i can take a few laps around the block after they go to bed.
Yeah most people like pedaling, and in this case, no pedals here. It folds, kind of. They call it pancake mode, so the handlebars rotate to the side, so the handlebars point up and down, and then it's pretty darn flat and not too thick. We had someone here recently who got 2 and folded both of them up and threw them in the back of a Corvette, which was pretty wild :P
Feel like I’d buy and recommend here in nyc at around $1300-1500 before tax …😅 nice video tho finally a review

Bro if you left that outside the gas station near me (Atlanta) it would be gone soo fast 😂

I'm a big fan of going 34MPH for sure :P
They could do much improvement for the price: 48v 16amp controller, 48w 500-watt geared hub motor, bigger battery, front and back light.
Yeah it'll be cool to see what they come out with next for sure :)

@@Ennovationl don't think 16 lbs lighter is worth $950 over the lectric XP. Not even close...

I love it but will wait for competition to build and sell one for 1200 or so dollars.
It's not typically a bad strategy, but Himiway tried that and lost already :P electrek.co/2023/05/11/jackrabbit-micro-electric-bike-himiway-lawsuit/

Wish they make an xlg but is you put the hiresrise bars and kinetic seat could I ride it in comfort
Like a 15 or old again
distance please
This one gets about 20 miles as advertised with my wife riding. She’s under 115, so anything above that would probably bring that down a bit
When you see.something like this know the name and search it on google instead of wqiting for the answer

Which seat are you referencing? Seems a bit high of a price for a saddle! haha

I heard that :P Yeah if I was 12-13 I would have LOVED one of these!! My wife still loves hers though.
It also doesn’t follow the rules of the road or stop at stop signs
No pedals or pedaling is a nonstarter. I thought it folded - it didn’t seem to. Meh.
