  • Hello and Welcome to episode 91 of Trash to Track
In this episode we take a look at a battered Bachmann Std 5 loco thats cosmetically in need of attention and doesn’t seem to want to run. So let’s see if we can rescue this loco and restore it back to running order.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice refurb. Lots of tips that will be a great help to me, especially the glazing fix.

    Hi Dan.
Nice one buddy. Amazing it didn't seize up with no lubricant.

I cheat with windows - I glue the clear plastic (cut slightly oversize) on the inside ... does not have to be so precise in size and saves time trimming. Then use your glue and glaze (I use Microscale Kristal Klear which is similar) to flood the window from the outside.
Great job on the restore - will remember your crank handle method.

Hello Dan my name is Terry. I am new to the hobby and have a few blue Pullman Hornby motors that have riding issues and was wondering whether you could take a look at them for me. If you can please send me your address to where I send my models. I will pay for any repairs. Kind regards, Terry
