@Oleen you are my hero ❤️I am new to machine embroidery and have wanted to just give up and go back to hand embroidery and cross stitch and I can sew lol I also self taught crochet but boy this is a whole lot harder! I had no idea what went into “digitizing” thought it would be easier to just get the design already made but the feeling of accomplishment I hope (when I get brave enough to try) it is as rewarding as my other hand craft stuff lol and to think I do not have a creative bone in my body!!!! But as kids got older and I was expecting the first grandbaby I self taught crochet while out with a badly torn rotator cuff in the left shoulder couldn’t do much else so it was perfect!Thank you for the teaching videos for PE Design 10 ❤️You are amazing!
Thank you for your kind words. Watch the videos on PED Next (9) as well. The programs are very similar and if you can suffer through all 70 videos you will know everything I know.
OleensEmbroidery bring home on Long Term disability and not sure I’m going to make it back to work(school bus driver+fainting disorder=my kiddos not safe 💔) so I will gladly “suffer” through all of them! You are a wonderful teacher!
This was so awesome. Wish I could come take whole weekend class with you. One quick question. If I used the appliqué cutout running stitch and either actually put thread or used blank needle to puncture holes then cut out the appliqués with scissors . Then put fabric down and run placement stitch. How do I hold the appliqué material in fabric for tack down? Thank you!
@Oleen ok I have a “strange” question lol how would you take an applique file and change it to a regular embroidery pattern to fill in with stitches? And yes I use 10 but I find all of your videos helpful! Thanks
Hi Tina, There are so many ways it could be done in PED 10, but if you have a particular design in mind send the PES file to kathleen@oleens .com and I will take a look.
OleensEmbroidery Hello, I have the same question and was wondering if you could explain one of the methods to change an applique file into a filled design
I am using pe design next. I don't see the option below for CREATE AN APPLIQUE WITH HOLE SEWING. What do I need to do to make it visible in Pe Design Next.
+OleensEmbroidery Thank you SEW much. I've been playing with it this afternoon and sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't. Kinda weird or is it just a glitch?
Every time I use applique I have to play around with it a while to figure it out. That's one of the reasons I make these videos, so I can remember half the stuff I learned LOL.

Since my husbands stroke I have been unable to keep up with my channel. However I have found Face book has numerous helpful platforms.

+penny wilber It is not available in a lot of situations. If you send the graphic &/or files to "kathleen@oleens.com" I will take a look
