- Max Kersey interviews: Henry VIII
Seasoned interviewer Max Kersey probes the mind of England's most notorious ruler, risking his head in the process.
Henry VIII (1491-1547) defined 16th century England through sheer force of personality. Initially celebrated as a handsome, athletic young king with a passion for hunting and music, he would become England's most notorious monarch. His quest for a male heir led him to take six wives, break with the Catholic Church, and establish himself as Supreme Head of the Church of England. Under his reign, England began its transformation into a Protestant state, the power of Parliament grew, and the modern English navy was born. Though remembered often for his wives and his increasingly tyrannical behaviour in later years, Henry VIII's reign marked a crucial turning point that shaped the future of England. When he died in 1547, he left a transformed kingdom to his young son Edward VI.

Small Print: We don't know what Henry VIII actually sounded like, other than knowing he had a high pitch for a man of his size. We certainly don't know his exact accent and the one presented here will not be correct - but then Henry isn't speaking Early Modern English either, not to mention he is rather dead, so cannot be interviewed. We're running with artistic licence.
Wooow this is so cool. I'm a huge fan of the Tudor Dynasty and digesting every video about henry, elizabeth, mary, wolsey, etc. Also on tv, the Tudors, wolfhall, etc. I love it. I hope in a few years this AI get's so good, it's more realistic. Here you see a few software moves from a picture. This will become better I hope.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. The main problems are some hand morphing and the lip-syncing isn't always perfect, as much as I tried to get it right with multiple takes. But, hey, the tech. is really new. In a year to 18 months it will probably be flawless. My most "wow" moment was asking the AI to get Henry to go from the standing position to sitting in the chair - it got it on the first try.
@ awesome 😍👍
Very first to comment: This is strange as f*ck, though it may be commonplace within a decade. I feel both privileged and deeply defiled to have experienced it first.
Such experiences
We’re not meant to be.
He wasn't a Northerner!
Better that than an American accent... 😄
