    Wooow this is so cool. I'm a huge fan of the Tudor Dynasty and digesting every video about henry, elizabeth, mary, wolsey, etc. Also on tv, the Tudors, wolfhall, etc. I love it. I hope in a few years this AI get's so good, it's more realistic. Here you see a few software moves from a picture. This will become better I hope.

      Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. The main problems are some hand morphing and the lip-syncing isn't always perfect, as much as I tried to get it right with multiple takes. But, hey, the tech. is really new. In a year to 18 months it will probably be flawless. My most "wow" moment was asking the AI to get Henry to go from the standing position to sitting in the chair - it got it on the first try.

    Okay not bad. Indeed AI slop is when people just do smple txt2img/txt2vid but hybrid approaches are getting more and more complex to master and as such regaining the craft-esque dimension of filmmaking that was lost with the democratization of magic AI """art""" makers like Midjourney

    • @cbnewham_ai
      @cbnewham_ai 16 дней назад

      True. The tools are becoming more complex, which gives control back to the user. Take for example camera movements. In the beginning there was no ability to do that with AI video - you just got given whatever the AI dreamed up. Now the camera movement capabilities are becoming available, so that requires a lot more thought about how to compose shots. It will be interesting to see how this plays out as more capabilities are given to the user.

    • @cbnewham_ai

      Thank you very much. Nearly all of it is AI. The only parts that aren't are the animations of Neptune with the Star approaching (that's CGI in Blender), the diagrams of the solar system (AstroGrav), and some of the seed photos which were used by Kling AI to generate moving images (e.g.: the initial frame of astronomers looking through telescopes - they are real photos which I used as the initial frame for the AI to create video). The music and all of the voices are also AI. As is the script by Claude (with some minor changes by me to smooth out the narrative). It's not perfect, but considering that none of this could even be done 18 months ago, it's a reasonable go at a full AI short. BTW, this did take a *long* time to make - several weeks. Using real actors would have been easier and quicker (except if the director was Kubrick, of course, LOL!)

      Yes, Wells was rather visionary. I tried to stick fairly closely with what he had in the original story, but have modified it to make it a bit more physically realistic (Wells didn't have the advantage of knowing about nuclear fusion and how stars work). Thank you.

      About 49 degrees Celsius - or up around what the very hottest places on earth that people can still live in get to currently - certainly hot enough that if you were outdoors exposed to it for any length of time it could kill you. Hottest I've ever been outdoors in for any length of time was in Melbourne one summer when it got to a near record high of 45C - that was horrific.
