- Abandoned Wendy's / Tim Horton's Combo - Lewis Center, OH. Enjoy a look at this old combo location from the time period Wendy's and Tim Hortons were owned by the same parent company. Since then, Tim Hortons had split off from Wendy's and competitor, Burger King, went into co-ownership with Tim Hortons. Though some of these Wendy's / Tim Horton's combos still exist open many are closed and more will close when leases expire.

#abandoned #wendys #timhortons
yes, Wendy's had a partnership with Tim Horton at one time. Now Tim Hortons and Burger King are owned by Restaurant Brands Inc.
Add Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen to that list. All 3 owned by the 3G Capital investment group, led by Brazil's richest man.
Weird fact but this was my first Wallie video and this would go on to start my retail and abandoned obsession, And have been watching videos old and new thank you Wallie👍
That's great to hear! Thank you!
According to the google street view from September of 2016 Wendy's was there, then as of October of 2017 the Wendy's signage was gone and it looks like Tim Hortons remained open for quite a while in the old building until the newer one was built.
Yes the October 2018 and October 2019 recordings it still remained Tim Hortons only, Google Street View is proven to be better than Mapillary because this year all of the remaining 16 year old not updated Google Street View got finally updated
Wendy’s moved up to the North Pointe plaza, Tim Hortons moved next door
We still have that combo near us
You're SO right about restaurants having more character back in the day. I grew up in mid-80s to mid-90s. I remember McDonald's having the red roofs and "french fry" lights (IYKYK) playgrounds, and MdDonald Land characters everywhere. Wendy's had the fake plants, and the solariums that heated up like ovens in the summertime, because of all the glass, but you still wanted to sit in there and eat, even if it meant you'd be sweating lol. Taco Bell had actual terracotta tile roofs on the fronts of their stores, stucco exteriors and arched windows (a'la Mexico, or what they thought Mexico looked like, anyway, lol), and for a while, their stores even had a real bell, hanging from a little faux cupola at the top of the roof. And of course, they had the chihuahua, albeit that was a bit later. Kayla, that dog inspired MY love for chihuahuas, too-AND I had the stuffed dogs, too. They talked, using phrases from the commercials. I had three out of the four. One said, "Here lizard lizard!" Another said, "¡Viva Gorditas!" And the third, of course, said, "Yo quiero Taco Bell." Lol! Sadly, I think I lost them in storage. But what awesome memories. Oh, and fun fact, I'm pretty sure the Taco Bell Chihuahua was, in real life, female!
We have an abandoned Wendy's here in San Antonio, Texas
I agree, new buildings for businesses don’t have character anymore. Great video
That would be me, a hash tag that says "I hope you enjoy your Sprite". Sure beats a hash tag that says "Enjoy your buthole burgers" which I have seen.
LMAO!!!
In the city In Canada I live in we still have 2 of these Wendy’s-Tim Hortons combos but they are renovated
Thanks for another great video wallie. Much respect to you. Keep up with the great work. You are the Best RUclipsr on RUclips in my opinion. Big fan from Canada 🇨🇦
OMG same ✌️😎🥰🥰🥰😂
It’s nice to see an old abandoned building like this in such great shape, with no graffiti or windows broken out!
It's a very high traffic area that doesn't have a lot of pedestrian access. Not really the type of area prone to a lot of loitering and vandalism.
The Tim Hortons here was in with coldstone creamery. Both gone now
The building looks like a old Barnes & Noble just a small one lol
I love the tim hortons
I’ve seen a Tim Horton’s combination with Coldstone Creamery, but not before with Wendy’s.
So sad all the empty businesses 😢
There is this same exact set up still in operation in Orchard Park NY.
Grand Island, NY and Orchard Park, NY still have one each as of October 2022.
I am glad be a Canadian
In my hood, lol. Still another combo just like it around 10 miles away still open @ Bethel / Sawmill rds.
in my town they had KFC and long John silvers that were co-joined, but that was a while back I have not been to that part of town in years.
Never heard about Wendy's x Tim Horton's!
There is a Wendy's/Tim Hortons in Lancaster Ohio. Wendy's owned Tim Hortons until the solit
Tim Hortons originally was mostly just known for coffee and doughnuts but really started diversifying their menu in the late 1990s. One thing they used to have is chilli in a bread bowl.
I love their coffee and sweets, but not a fan of their sausage. The chili was ok but had mushrooms in it, which I am not a fan of personally and find them to be an odd addition to chili.
I used to hit up that Tim Hortons in the morning on my way to school...
The Wendy's had closed a few years before the Tim Horton's.
We still have these open in Canada
I sure hope we can keep our Wendy's in Williamsport Pennsylvania too kh
Many independent doughnut shops and small chains were driven out of business by Tim Hortons. Among recent redevelopment agreements in the township is a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen location to be built on the site of the former Wendy’s/Tim Hortons on Owenfield Drive, next to the new Tim Hortons site near Meijer. The building will be torn down and a new one built on the same site.
Even a lot of the other doughnut chains struggled in Ontario when Tim Hortons started aggressively expanding.
Lots of these combos were built in Canada as well during Wendy's ownership of TH -- most of them are still operating for the time being.
Hey, there’s a mystery Tim’s closed for 3yrs now adjacent to many ethnic takeout, groceries, a laundry and city bus transfer hub.
Barton and Grays in Stoney Creek Ontario.
We still have a joint building still open in Flint, Mi
Wendy's headquartered in Dublin, OH & used to own Tim Hortons US at one time. There's a lot of these in Columbus narket
Now you'll see less of those 'duals" as nowadays Tim Hortons (the whole chain at both sides of the border) is part of Restaurant Brands, the same Brazilian-owned (3G Capital) company that also owns Popeye's and Burger King.
So these "duals" are now up to the franchisee level to a few businesses who owns both TH and Wendy's franchises.
We still have one in Red Deer Alberta Canada, we call it a TinWin.
What a waste of money instead of remodeling they build of a complete building
I agree. Made absolutely no sense.
@@WallieB26 😂😂😂
Few reasons why they built a new building. 1) Wendy's and Hortons parted ways. 2) sometimes it makes more sense to make a new building so they don't have to completely shutdown the restaurant (keep generating revenue).
@@Tahoe832 thank you 😑
#ihopeyouenjoyedyourspriteattheabandonedtimhortonswendyscombo let’s get THAT trending 😛.
there's still 3 open in Winnipeg Canada
These still exist. There is one in New
Albany Ohio.
One side Wendy's and one side Tim Hortons.
Why wouldn’t Hortons expand into the other side makes no sense to me
Big fan from California. Another awesome video
Thank you very much! Much love from Pittsburgh!
I sure miss the classic Wendy's solariums! So much fun to sit in and look out the window as you dined!
The Wendy's half of this location closed a couple years prior to the Tim Horton's. The Tim Horton's closed in July 2020 obviously when the new store opened next door.
Never tried Tim Hortons don't even know where there located..
All over Canada and some of the North/North East USA.
Awesome Abandoned Wendy's / Tim Horton's Combo Video Wallie and Kayla!!!
Wendys in back. Timmy's in front
That front facade looks kind of like a bank or credit union. Doesn't look like any Wendy's from the 80's/90's/00's with that front greenhouse thing with the fake plants and maple table/chairs.
I have family in the Columbus OH area, back in the 90's I remember seeing a few of these Tim Horton's/Wendy's locations, but we never ate at one. I did eat at the FIRST Wendy's location in downtown Columbus. It was huge and had "the original" 1960's Wendy's dining room, probably a recreation of what it looked like. The "original dining room" was small/tight. Maybe 3 two tops, a couple 4 tops. Dark wood paneling, orange/brown trippy carpeting, stained glass light fixtures, all the furniture was dark walnut/oak, had those crazy beads hanging in the doorway where you entered.
12:04
missed opportunity to say you found tim shitz
I didn’t know tim hortons had locations in america
In canada you find lots of Tim Hortons and Wendy in the same building, it isn’t rare up here
I still have one of these where I live in Canada
Remember when Wendy’s used the yellow boxes ? And cups the good old days
Reminds me of the Tim's/Wendy's location that's still open to this day in Monroe, OH. Takes me back to when my grandma would take me and my sister there to eat while staying at a hotel across the street. Nice memories. Thanks for the video Wallie!!
An oldie but goody. Tim Hortons sells breakfast sandwiches and donuts as well as coffee.
I have seen some ones that are still open
It was combo in the 90s. Wendys owned tim hortons . We have one in grand island and orchard park ny
the best Wendy's move I ever saw was they closed a Wendy's on one side of a street and built a new Wendy's right across the street from the old one they closed. I guess people going eastbound were hungrier than those going west. they made that move shortly after McD closed their store that was next to the old Wendys and moved less than a 1/4 mile down the street to be right next to a BK.
I have never heard of a Tim Horton's restaurant, but the Wendy's looks so vintage! No shoebox version to it! I am a fan of vintage stuff. The newer restaurants are not my style. I enjoyed your video, WallieB26! It was so awesome! Thank you very much!
Tim Hortons is a Canadian shop kind of like Dunkin’ Donuts.
I remember when Wendy's had the tables with the different stuff on the tables, all the writing and different things on them, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, this was from the 1980's to early 1990's
I, remember when Wendy's had the tables with all the writing on them. I, also remember Clara Peller from the Wendy's Commercial, titled Where's the Beef?I, remember Wendy's in the 1980's and 1990's.
I have Tim Horton before when I went up to Canada and they also have Donets too likes doncn donts
Wow, I honestly had no idea back in the day that Tim Horton’s and Wendy’s had a joint venture to be able to have two restaurants in the same location in various spots. Looks like this did recently close too because of the notice that was put on there that pertains to Covid safety. Such a shame that these buildings are going by the wayside in place of what I fully agree it’s such a boring design with the shoebox that everyone is going for now. And shopping centers signs from yesterday you’re are pretty much gone now in fever of these ones where they have businesses on the bottom and then apartments above them. Heck, I just saw a prime example of this when I took a quick trip back home just over the weekend to where I’m from originally (suburbs near the Milwaukee area) and in a spot where there used to be a motel as well as a bar, both of those have now been torn down and I would not he surprised that in its place more apartments sprang up. Modern architecture has become way too predictable and so boring!
#hope you enjoyed your sprite
Why didn’t they renovate instead of building a new whole building just 100 feet to the side? What the fuck?
There, is a Tim Hortons/Wendy's Combination Restaurant that is still open, located on 23 Mile Road and Baker Road on the Chesterfield/New Baltimore, Michigan City Limits. The, Tim Hortons/Wendy's Combination Restaurant is still open to this very day.
It’s been abandoned for at least 5- 10yrs
Wendys closed first awhile ago and they moved across the road in front of Wal-Mart. Tim Hortons moved out and built the new building a year ago or so.
Again that is 15,minutes away from me
I love the retro Wendy's, reminds me of my childhood.
As of march 2024, they have torn that building down to make way for a Popeyes. 😢
We have them here in Nova Scotia Canada that combo style. They call them Timbits and they sell a ton of them big seller for the company over the years.
I didn't know Tim Hortons was in the US. I thought it was only canada.
How many buildings have u been too that you actually gained entrance too? Just curious
Fascinating find! I had no idea that Tim Hortons and Wendy used to be part of the same company. It looks like the Wendy’s closed ca. 2017, and the Tim Hortons in 2020. The Wendy’s drive through, which I found on Street view, was where the new Tim Hortons is.
They just upgraded the Wendy's/Tim's combo in my area about two years ago. It's always packed, so I don't think it will be shutting down anytime soon. I prefer the older Wendy's decor style, it's so bland looking now.
WallieB26 really enjoyed your awesome abandoned video!
An ex of mine worked there for a bit and I worked at the Meijer there in 1998
I think there is only one of these combos left, at least around Columbus. It's on Avery Road by Dublin Methodist hospital in Dublin.
Now this looks very neat. Can't even get cup of Tim Hortons Coffee or Junior Bacon Cheeseburger. The shoebox design will age fast. Everything is so minimal and boring now.
All the best to you , both. Happy trails.
15:25 to 15:27 and 15:54 to 15:57 are gifs/remix moments.
They have a hamburger/coffee joint together because they will not compete against each other for business. We have a Wendy's/Tim Hortons shared building in Orchard Park, New York. Its just about a five minute drive from the Buffalo Bill's football stadium. Always busy no matter what time of year. They have a separate drive thru for each business. The set up is the exact same inside the building.
I was cracking up laughing 😂
Good humor and good video!
I think they lost the least two years ago Wendy's was in the back. Wendy's restaurant and tim hortons had a special relationship but they quit it there ONLY three left with wendy and Tim hortons
Wow 👌 one of my favorite youtuber
Ohio really died. I was there late 90s and it was full of life. Thank Bush Cheney and Obama.
you get an A+ for being the best and most funny youtuber 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I remember the Taco Bell dog was named Gidget! (Actually a female)
these hash tags tho 😂😂😂
LOL Glad they gave you a good laugh. Haha
Different drive thru for wendys
Ohhh the nostalgia! My first job was working at one of these combo restaurants back in 2003. They'd bring us doughnuts and Timbits all the time! The Wendy's dining room would close at 11, while Timmies was open 24hrs. Even though Timmies and Wendy's no longer share a partnership, most of these combo locations are still running here in Canada. Timmies is more than a coffee/doughnut shop... They have wraps, chicken burgers(not the greatest), potato wedges, chili, soups, and many other items... Maybe the US ones are different????
There is one of these in Imlay City, MI that's not abandoned yet and it's still open I do believe
Thanks for another great video wallie.

LOL!
Wallie is our favorite dork. That's why we love you and you wish you were as cool as the Taco Bell Chihuahua.
LOL!
Thank you! Looking forward to coming back down next month! Hoping we'll get to hang out! I'm more than sure we will!
@@WallieB26 I'm trying to talk Mom in law into going to Quanah Parkers grave. As well as mom's and sis. Wanting to go through the Wichita preserve again. From one end to the other this time instead of the middle. Do it for her bday. Also I found something for you and Kayla y'all might like. So at least get together for that.
Hi 👋 Wallie Again.
Hi!
Awww that's sad, they built so many of these in the mid-2000s and I've never seen one successfully reused. They die a slow death, usually with the Wendy's first and then Tim pulls out. They were nice buildings, huge dining rooms.
love ya wallie.. If you get time you should visit Nate and do another up date on his motorhome
Good video Wallie and Kayla I wish they had Tim Hortons out here in the west, I have not ever been to one
Cool video and Wendy’s owned Tim Hortons for a while back in 1990s we still have one in my area
Hey wally love your videos
Thank you very much!
I used to go here all the time as a kid. I have memories of eating doughnuts in the morning while watching cars drive down 23.
Memories man.
My mom got robbed at that UDF gas station behind your car, and we would sled down the hill next to that Meijer there. 😂
It’s wild to see it like this.
